I agree, I'd love to hear if they ever found it. I've been on and off a fair amount over the last few months and rarely (if ever) have seen CCD online (though he could be on as guest).

I contacted Chris, he appreciates our keeping watch for it, but as of today there has been no sign of it. After this much time, it is either in Airstream heaven, or (hopefully) abandoned somewhere it can't be easily found.

... sorry i haven't been on the forum in quite some time. I just wanted to pop in and say thanks again for the watchfull eyes. At this point i'm looking ahead to what the next trailer might be.... new vs. vintage, big vs. small, etc. Whatever my decision, I'll be on the road again soon in the future.

Chris,
I am also sorry to learn that your 16' CCD is still missing. I am glad to know that you still check in on the forum.
We did decide on Vintage, but it was your CCD design that got us interested in Airstreams over 2 years ago. We decided on a 1976 Overlander 27' mostly because the front windows were similar the your CCD. Hope to have finished photos as soon as May 1st. We did a mix of retro and new on the inside to go along with the "Spirit of 76'" theme.
Abe

It's been about a year since the last update. Has anyone heard if this Bambi has turned up yet??
I contacted him around Christmas, it hadn't turned up at that time. It is either very well concealed, or it is in a thousand little Airstream pieces, and sold on Ebay.
It's so hard to believe how this unique 16' CCD could just disappear!
I, like most Airstreamer do, we notice other aluminum trailers while traveling, now that Ive seen the posted picture, this particular unit will be on my radar from now on!
If it has not showed by now, well you know what I mean.
Todays market for scram alum. is very high. In the Minn.
area they are taking alum. boat docks and lifts every night.
I think that they are selling the scrap metal for drug money.
