I'm over the bridge from you where there's no "there" there, and I"ll keep eyes out for you too. "Airstream sightings" has become my family's new hobby while driving.
If you get completely bummed about it, if you haven't gotten there already, do a search on "CCD" here and you'll see just how many fans you have that are looking for that trailer. My money says you'll get it back soon and intact.
PS I have a 1967 airstream in my driveway because of an article I read about you. We drove from Alameda CA to Wisconsin just to get one and customize it. Took us three years to find it but we own it...keep up the beautiful work.

LoJack is just $695.00 installed. A small price to pay for piece of mind. They will even go out to your house or place of business and install. It has reached the point where we need to protect out investment.
Hi CCD;
In this forum , it's the second time I read that an Airstream is stolen;
What a shame and I suppose you were very angry & sad in the same time.
As for the other member with his stolen A/S, two monthes ago, I propose you to keep an eye on the North European roads, where i use to drive...
So really i don't think that your Bambi, 'll be exported to Europe; Too much risks !!!
This is a very unfortunate story, and points out the needed vigilance we've all got to have looking out for one another.
On several occasions I've noticed people looking with a bit too much interest at my Bambi, so I've made certain to let them know I'm watching it- and them- too.
The lojack system works well if the theft is noticed in time to activate the lojack before a committed thief found the transponder. Lojack offers an early warning option for additional fees to notify the owner if a vehicle is moved without having their "key pass" deactivate the motion sensor.
The lojack system- or any radio-based tracking system- would not work if a trailer were put into an all-metal cargo container of the kind commonly used for international cargo shipping.
I hope your trailer reappears without damage soon.

Ok, totally off the subject - but very F. L. Wright looking house - is it yours? And since when has Mr. Wright been putting 30 amp services in his driveway?
I REALLY hope you find your CCD. I went to Victoria this weekend, no AS's sighted there either. I couldn't help but think that I need a small CCD without airconditioning so that I wouldn't be charged the "over height" surcharge on the ferries around the Northwest. Sigh. At least, that's what I told my wife to see if we could get one. No luck.
I'll be going to a ralley in OR two weekends from now and will check around.
Take care,
Marc
Barb's idea of posting Dealerships...Great one!
Kimili..'s idea of notifying eBAY....SUPER IDEA!
what a crumb bum! Unbelieavable that someone could be so brazen...so bold! .
Well..you all know I'm in the PacWest/BC area...and I'll sure look too.
I agree that the WCBII groups will never see this jerk...
but, we on the road will...and it's OVER for him... He has no where to go.
Here's another idea...
I think Customs should be notified ASAP
..Chris...
Call your Canadian Counsel in your area...and find out who can orchestrate this, or south...Mexico.
John Rathenburger may want to do a show on your CCDs Chris...and could throw in a notice at the end of the show... He's a Northwesterner.. Would you know how to get hold of him... He does the RV show on the Travel Channel every Tuesday night, and has covered the manufacturing of Airstreams. I think he'd be very interested in doing a special show on yours...and mention your 16' too.
Not many Airstream sitings down here in the last month, except for the units at the dealer and my back yard. Did see 2 other units at Ft. Wilderness, 22' and up.

What a Shame! However, the distinct features will make it EZ 2 ID. If they tug 'er out here to Georgia, and we see it, we'll definitely respond. Sorry for your loss.
I see where a lot of us are asking for updates...but no one is replying. Is the owner of this CCD (Chris)...just lurking? It would seem Janet, T7, myself, and others would rattle enough cages to get a response! HELLO?
& I see no reply to this suggestion either:
