Stainless upgrades.

Ok, I will just tell it like it is.... I did every stainless up grade on my 08 Safari and loved the appearance... what I had was working and my Dad taught me if something isn’t broke don’t fix it.
Huh, :::: but, I really liked the look and so I was pleased with the work even at the high cost.

Then I notice my out side plugs on electrical and Cable input were now very ugly.... went on line and almost fainted at the cost of these two little covers.

Then while trying to find my polish for the aluminum wheels I saw some paint... it was dup

Your dad was right. But if it makes you happy go ahead. Just don't complain about it.

Hello?
I think we got disconnected. Call back!
Details? "Dupi-color"?
I bought the water heater door while it was on sale, but I also don't understand why the electrical outlet costs more than the WH door.
The real killer is the outside wash station. I get it, it has the inside parts too, but $245?
If you're happy with the paint, pass it on.

Just remember, this is the Airstream Forum, where cost is a positive for some.

Mollydad,
I spent the money for the shower.... but I was kind of forced into it.... door on shower popped open on it’s on and wand and hose hit the road so to speak.
Well needless to say the pavement won... so this upgrade made a lot more sense then the others.
If you do the upgrade it requires a lot of inside work. In my case taking the floor out of the closet area.
From start to testing fittings for leaks to reassembling almost 8 hours....
Good news is the stainless does flex going over railroad tracks and release sprayer.

Upgraded all my doors to the stainless parts and won’t look back.

Should have come with them from the start.

The can I have is about 4 years old and said 800 degree paint, but something tells me that is the same paint, on Amazon for around 10 bucks.

The pictures really don’t look as good as they actually look with your eyes.

I think you will like the finish product.

If some one is thinking about Stainless upgrades you might want to try this paint first and pocket about $1200 smackers.
