Spring Break suggestions?
Looking for a fun trip for my crew (family of 5) for spring break.
April 2-11
Anyone do something cool with their family on the east coast that time of year?

When we had kids (still do but adult now) we went to the OBX. Lots to do, nice weather - Kitty Hawk etc. and when we did we lived in Jersey so it was not too far a trip to make for a week.
Enjoy
Bud

Head down toward Charleston, SC.....lots to see and do in the area, which should be beautifully in bloom in March.

It's not East Coast, but San Antonio is a great place for Spring Break.

It's not exactly the east coast, but close. The Florida upper Gulf Coast (Pensacola to Apalachicola) is a great area to spend Spring Break. There are many really great Florida State Parks all along the coastal area. The snow birds will be gone, and there should be ample campground accommodations.

Hi from AZ. . .The only problem we found is. . . too many 'Spring Breakers' everywhere you went Always tried to go away from the crowds & we enjoyed the OBX, but it is camping on a beach, fishing etc. , so if your kids love that kind of thing. . .go. You might want to consider asking the kids where they would like to go.....Have fun, Craig

Another vote for the OBX! There is something for everyone there. If you like peace and quiet you can go to Rodanthe, Cape Hatteras areas. Nags Head has more "activities" older kids might enjoy like go-carts, putt-putt, etc. There is a nice aquarium, you can take the ferry to Ocracoke. The one thing you might want to check on for this area is how much will be open if indeed you need some activities...many businesses shut down for a bit in the winter and I have never been this early in the season.

Just curious, what is the weather like on the east coast during spring break?
Is it snow, sleet and black ice, like on the TV news?
