South Jersey RV
The last few months driving along rt 40 in S Jersey, I've been passing this place w/ a number of as in back. Today I read the name of the place on a small sign, South Jersey RV. I called them and the man said that while no longer an authorized as dealer, they do alot of restoration and repairs.
Has anyone had any dealings with these folks?

I think StingrayL82 used them for some restoration work on his rig. You might send him a PM and ask.

South Jersey RV
I bought my 84 Excella from them. As a couple they are active in the WBCCI. Very nice folks. Reasonable prices for parts
The ONLY trouble I have had with the trailer was the tires but I fixed that.

Soth Jersey RV is owned by Ron and Linda Ame. Super nice people. Small buisness, but they do really nice work. I don't mind giving Ron my money. He might not always be the cheapest but at least i know he did the job right. I've seen some of his total restorations and there as good as any I've seen. George K.
I had to edit this post because it occured to me that Lnda is also my RV insurance agent. It was very good having her on my side when I needed to make a claim some years back. She know airstreams, and knew how to code my damage so that the ins company covered my repairs. They also cover vintage rv's. G

I have my work done only at South Jersey RV
Besides being nice people, they are truly good folk. Very hospitable, very capable to do very hairy work. In the bay next to where my trailer was being remodeled, they were raising the height of a trailer to accomodate a 6'7" tall gentleman. They totally redid this rare trailer from the ground up reusing ( as far as I could tell ) only the aluminum panels and the windows. They stand by their work. I really enjoy going there just for the fun of it, to eyeball all of the trailers. I didn't want my work to be done by someone who had worked on an Airstream before. I was way more comfortable going to an Airstream expert. Perhaps an Airstream artist?
When my fridge (that could still freeze milk and eggs) was leaking deadly ammonia gas, Ron treated me like I was his son. He took the time to explain things so that I could understand. Bottom line, I trust them.

We stopped by there once out of curiosity and asked if we could take a picture of one of the vintage units out front. Ron not only gave permission, but gave us the grand tour of the facility and some of the Airstreams. We nearly ended up buying an AS he had just restored. The price was very reasonable, but the trailer was bigger than we were looking for. A friend of ours bought their vintage AS there, and was very pleased.
Very nice people.

Thanks all, maybe I'll stop by and introduce myself, check out the insurance.
Funny, my older brother remembers when they were the airstream dealer, but says he remembers them being in another location. BTW, when I spoke with Ron on the phone, it sounded like they had a good working relationship with Colonial. That's a plus!
