Good score on the five blankets. Your trailer looks great. Just checked the website and it was not that easy to find the National Parks series.
Pendleton Woolen Mills: Search Results on 'national parks'

hope this works for you.

Hi Paula:

I don't know about the googie pillows, but the red, white and black blanket is the Churro Saddle Blanket:

Hi Stef:

Your Caravel looks very cozy, wooly and warm. It must be getting excited about going camping! Thanks for stepping up and helping out.

Ha ha, the 'googie pillows' are mine! They were already in the trailer. Personally, I think I would have stuffed them in a cupboard, they don't really go with all the beautiful stuff they put in there - maybe they figured they looked 'retro', which is why I keep them in there.

Off topic, are you going to Fort Stevens after the show? or back to WA then the NW rally? We still plan on getting there on Wed. Looking forward to meeting more streamers.

The trailer will be coming home next Monday, and then we'll have a few days to charge it up, clean the tanks, and get ready to go to the beach We'll probably be down at Ft Stevens on Friday. It sounds like some people are getting there early, I'll bet you'll have a nice time visiting as the crowd grows.

Steph, Do you get to pick out your blankets? I would have a hard time deciding which ones, hope to see your catch at Ft. Stevens.

Great deal on the blankets!

I'm struck by how the Glacier Nat'l Park blanket is identical to Canada's Hudson's Bay blanket. I did a bit of snooping and found out that the Hudson's Bay blankets were originally made in England (1779) and brought over here to trade by trappers to Blackfeet and Northern Plains Indians.

Pendleton Woolen Mills was the first mill here to specifically create trade blankets (1896).

More wooly blanket information . . .

can be found on these web sites. For a brief history of Pendleton National Park blankets, see:

For a brief history of trade blankets, especially Hudson Bay Company blankets, see:

Point Blankets

Stef, thanks for taking and posting your photos that got this great big ball of yarn rolling.

Hi Paula:

The blanket on Stef's far dinette seat is the Tribute to Jack Briggs Blanket. The one on the near dinette seat is the Navajo Water Blanket. Both can be seen here:

Pendleton Woolen Mills: AMERICAN INDIAN COLLEGE FUND

Hope this helps.

Stef, your little Caravel looks so wonderful in that display. Which blankets did you choose?

I picked Glacier, Crater Lake, Rainier, Acadia, and Yosemite. I knew I needed the NW parks, I just liked the look of Acadia, Yosemite is on my 'must see' list, and Glacier reminds me of a cozy Pendleton blanket my grandparents had in their RV that I remember from when I was a kid, and I always regretted that it got garage-saled off when they sold their RV while I was in college.
