Short-term storage in central FL?

Can anyone suggest a storage solution for me in central Florida? We are taking our Caravel to FL from Jan-March and need weekday storage in Winter Haven or Haines City.

We plan to use the Caravel almost every weekend while we are down there, so "long term" storage isn't an option. For the same reason, we need something nearby, not in Lakeland, Orlando, etc.

Any suggestions? Anyone got some space? We'll pay a reasonable storage fee. Thanks.

Is that a 2 month vaca or work? nice time of year to be down there......make sure you check out "Fantasy of Flight" if you haven't already. cool place. maybe you could pick up some polishing tips from their shop.
there's so much open space down there, I'm sure you'll find something.....

It's really neither vacation nor work ... my consulting work is relocatable at the moment, so I'm electing to escape while I can.

About 4 or 5 years ago I flew down to attend Sun'n'Fun with my brother and a friend in a Piper Arrow, and tent camped on the airfield at Lakeland for a few days. During that trip we met up with my parents (pilots also) and the whole entourage hit Fantasy of Flight. It's a great place for aviation buffs.

I remember we were wandering outside on the grounds when we heard a double sonic boom. It was the space shuttle returning to Kennedy. A really nice day ...

I'll probably go back this spring to FF since it's been so long.

My in-laws live in Kissimmee, so I usually go over to FOF when we're down there visiting. There's also a neat little museum at the Kissimmee airport that restores old warbirds. that's always interesting, as they have different projects going on all the time.

anyway...what sort of consulting do you do?

Just a thought - Bates RV on I-4 between Tampa and Orlando is an Airstream dealer - perhaps they would offer some storage for a small fee. I have stopped there before to window shop the new Airstreams and they seem like a nice bunch.

I live in Tampa and happen to know there are RV/Boat storage facilities all over the state. The ones I have checked out are from month to month with no contract required. I pay $35 a month and can get access any day of the week.

Thanks! That's what I needed to know. I'll try to find an online Yellow Pages for the Lakeland - Kissimmee area and locate a storage place. Bates RV had occurred to me but I wasn't sure how far away they were.

FYI, Bates RV is a little West of Plant City, FL, about 20 miles or so West of Lakeland. Plant City also has the Strawberry Festival every February, you can swing in and partake of the festivities while going to and from your A/S.

I happen to own a self storage facility in Kissimmee. We have several RV's stored at the facility. Call Renee at 407-933-0000 and she can hook you up. Daily access is no problem at all. I hope this helps and good luck with your business.
