We were Airstreaming in your new home state just last week. Traveled from West Yellowstone southbound on highway 20 to SLC. Very scenic and lots of places to trout fish.

Your Airstream looks all domesticated. Quite a change from boondocking in the desert. Now that you have a place for the winter, let the new projects begin.

Stay in touch...

Wow, nice digs. I would love to have the parking spot. Best wishes.

We just passed through Boise a few days ago. Spent some time in Jackson, Wy and then a few days in Twin Falls, Id. The Perinne bridge allows base jumpers without permits. Watched about a dozen people make the leap. It was rather interesting.

Also toured the Minidoka Japanese interment camp which was another interesting stop. Also stopped in at Vale, Or and stood in the museum which was the stage coach depot for travelers of the Oregon Trail. The Oregon Trail was right in front.

Lots of stuff to see around Boise. Enjoy all the things to see.

We're still getting out and about. We just spent a week in Glacier, NP. Love it. And it's only a 9hr drive away, which isn't too bad.

Terrific photo of your family. I see it is your current avatar, as well as it should be.

I hope you and yours are settling in some, it takes a while. Glad to see you hitched up and did some exploring. Maybe the crowds were down at Glacier this time of year.

We were talking about Boise the other day. Folks said what a great city it is. There is a lot of economic activity from agriculture to lumber to groceries.

Take care,

David

Actually the top private companies in Idaho include agriculture, engineering and recreation/real estate. The federal government currently doesn't believe in thinning or harvesting timber, just letting it burn. Hopefully that will change soon.

My daughter and family are doing well in Boise. They went camping in the mountains streamside a couple weeks ago with the girls. It was Adeline's very first camping trip at 5mths old. Erin managed to buy a good Marmot tent at a huge discount from Adventure-16 before she left work there. Kenyon's boss surprised him with the fact that bike shops are seasonal, so they just plain shut down, but Erin snagged a job real quick and Kenyon has several interviews out for welding work. Nothing stops these two. My second son and gf are up the visiting Now. Boise seems like an excellent place for those of us who do the outdoors, because they all went rock climbing yesterday. I can't wait for next August, that's when we Visit!

Bold that's a beautiful setting for a great family picture. Looks like a good Christmas Card.

Congrats you two! We've learned so much from you, and I promise I'll continue to pester you about your setup and pick your brain. Best of luck to you and your family.

How did you fair in the worst winter in the Boise area in 50 years?

We visited Boise for the first time last September. Absolutely loved it. I can see why you chose to settle there.

My daughter and family did well through their first Boise winter. She says it's much easier than living in the Southern Sierra Mountains where the snowstorms cut you off from the rest of the world because of closed roads and downed power/phone lines. Back then she had to spend the last six weeks of her pregnancy in San Diego with us because it was too dangerous to be pregnant on the mountain in winter/early spring.
