Cool TV Clips

Just got back from about 200 miles round trip. The TV stayed right there with no problems. I did notice when I got to the halfway point (Inks Lake State Park) that I needed to put something soft under the "legs" of the TV. The clips allowed just enough motion that the plastic "legs" of the TV were wearing and making dust. I cut some pads of non-skid for underneath and when I reached home, there was no sign of any motion.

Thank you Peter,

I enjoy the forum, it's the little things like sharing what little knowledge that make it fun.

Smile First Post - I am...

Hi Guys!
I have been browsing and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm Steve Martin from Savannah, GA.

I have recently bought my second A/S. The first is a '63 Globetrotter 19ft that I started renovating. I had much to do to get that trailer ready and really wanted to get on the road, so I found a '90 Excello 25' in excellent shape the owner could no longer use.

I am 58 and have retired from the drug industry (legal that is...). I have spent a lot of time on Charlie Burke's A/S Central Q & A website reading and learning from his excellent answers from 1997, 1998, 1999 Q&A.

I plan to take 3-4 day trips and then some longer ones as I get going.

Great bunch of folks out here on the forums! Glad to be here!!

Steve Martin, Savannah

Question PlastiKote 'Engine Enamel'?

Well, I just introduced myself, and now I'm askin....

I ordered a bunch of parts from Lazy Days in Florida cause they are one of the largest and probably have some of the more obscure parts.

I ordered a spray can of PlastiKote and it came in as 11oz PlastiKote Clear 229 'Engine Enamel' made by Valspar in Medina, OH. I was just surprised to see it called 'Engine Enamel'.

Have I got the right product?

Steve

Hey welcome to the Forums from another Georgian. I might suggest you edit your post on the plasticoat and move it to the exterior restoraiton thread area...it would probably get a quicker reply there. Thanks for posting!!

Steve.
The correct product is only available from Airstream dealers. It is called "RV CLEAR ACRYLIC". Airstreams part number for it is 28174.
