Reduce the stigma of GAAD

Hello everyone...I want to just share that I have a condition. Generalized Airstream Anxiety Disorder, aka GAAD.

This is a well known set of symptoms that will be likely qualified as a formal mental disorder in the future the DSM-VI.

When your airstream's AC is venting white smoke from the AC unit, signaling even the possibility of a total failure...the driveway ya had poured while on vacation did not turn out and ya bottomin' out when ya get home from the beach and now you are obsessed with how to make it right..which maybe includes the need to do a surgery on your baby, such as a 2 and 5/8 inch lift to cure this issue and you cannot find someone hardly to do the job...and the AC thing, well the local airstream dealer that didn't sell you the airstream you bought 5 years ago does not want to help you at all with anything.

Its like, your child is sick, has an improper home, and you just cannot feel settled. Your human children at home become pretty secondary...during this time of hardship, they are at ages 5 and 7 forced to simply eat pop tarts all day and drink caprisuns, not bath, the clothes are not being washed...

What is the treatment for GAAD? Well, it is not legal in the state of Alabama, and the board of pharmacy really does not like that coming up on your random drug screen, so talk therapy on airforums is about the best you can do.

This post as been satire.....maybe....

Bloody Mary in the AM, or a Mule in the afternoon.

Hello pharmgeek,
You made me laugh because I recognize that I also have GAAD. To alleviate my symptoms over the last 4 years, I get up early on a Sunday in the fall (late October) and drive my bambi for 5 hours or so to the mothership's terraport. Wake up early Monday morning and march in to see Chris Burch with my list of repairs and upgrades to be done over the winter. I even have Chris Burch and Artie Pressor on my saved Amazon addresses to accept the packages for my bambi's upgrades. Pick up in the spring with a 10% discount on the bill. Knowing that everything will be perfect in the spring, keeps my GAAD in check. My husband goes along with it since he knows "a happy wife is a happy life". Warning....It's been and expensive disorder.

As a pharmacist, surely you know the only prescription for GAAD is camping! Get out there and do it! Scraped the bumper on the new driveway? No worries - go camping - you'll forget all about it.

And whoever said bourbon was on to something too [emoji3]

Reduce the stigma of GAAD

My GAAD has been further exacerbated.

Quick Batman - to the bat mobile - destination CO!

Good news is I have no plans “soon” for AS travel so...plenty of time to roommate about my trauma, anxiety, etc...

Colorado has many answers! From over 300 craft breweries, 60 craft distilleries and the obvious legalized state of affairs. I stick to the craft beers (usually the stuff I brew) and fine scotch (12 to 23 yrs old) with Cuban cigars. Sit on the deck in the back yard or under the canopy of the Airstream. Life gets good quickly with that prescription!
