Even with the Honda generators, with air-conditioning running throughout the day, we'll have about the same number of days in gasoline capacity (12 gallons, 4 days at 3 gallons/day) as the number of days we have fresh water (54 gallons, 4 days at 13 gallons/day) and holding tank capacity (35 gallons grey, 4 days at 8 gallons/day). So I marked "everything" as being equally important.

It would have to be pretty cold, though, for us to use 80 lbs of propane in that time.

I voted for rough it.....although I have a hard time calling it "rough it" when camping in a AirStream!

Well said. Camping isn't towing or driving a house to different locations. Even if it is self-contained.

yeah I feel guilty on those hot and steamy Georgia nights when I am in my air conditioned Airstream, and others are in their tents.
The guilt passes really quickly though...as I used to be a tenter, too.

Hey I rough it more than most. As a matter of fact, the old trailer didn't have A/C, not that it mattered casue there wasn't any power for it where we went.

If electric happens to be somewhere I am, and it's hot.....when in Rome.

I agree though that roughing it is the way to go!

amenities

I have yet to "hook up" to any utility except in my driveway to see what works. Where I routinely camp there are no hookups. I agree the propane for the frig is nice. Don't need to carry all that ice anymore. I also agree if camping where it gets hot ( as in over 60 F ) AC and hence electricity might be nice. Water seems not to be an issue if you fill before hand. The sewer may become popular in my family as the toilet and shower were inducement to get my wife to come along. I think that overall I am more concerned with where we might camp based on relative seclusion, scenery and somewhere for my son to fish.

It's a dead heat between roughing it and electricity. If you add all the remaining together as of right now it's a three way tie!

Thanks for the input all.
