Pgh RV show - disappointing!

My hubby and I went to the Pgh RV show this past week to look around a bit. Of course, my main thrill was to look at the new AS units. I forgot to get a directory so we just wandered around and looked at a lot of SOB's. I figured we'd find the AS sooner or later. We came across an aisle way and there was something shiny two rows over; whee! My husband looked at me and laughed and told me to go ahead, but to try not to wet myself in my excitement.

Well after dragging around for two hours they they were: all TWO of them. Darn!! What a disappointment, just one small Classic and one Bambi. No one even had the Basecamp, which I was sure would be at the show. Darn! That was a big let down.

The Classic had gorgeous Hickory wood interior though. Loved that!

Hey there.
I plan on going to the show next weekend in NJ.
Did you atleast see information about campgrounds and excursions? Maybe RV kitchen accessories or furniture?
Thats what I was hoping to get from it.
Let me know.

The Cleveland show had a Basecamp and one 25' FB CCD - we were just as disappointed here!

There are two next week and the other, next month. From what I've seen, there is one Airstream dealer at next weeks show and none at the one next far per the websites. I may go to both...

That's what I wanted to see as well. I thought that there would be some rv parts booths and campgrounds. Well, there were no parts at all and either two or three very local campgrounds. That's all.

wannaroam -- The single Airstream dealer in our state seems unenthusiastic about what they might bring to the annual RV/camping show. They always surprise me -- had about 7 Airstreams there last February. Sorry about your experience...

galfoman -- The Minneapolis show is very large but I can't say I've seen much for kitchen accessories. My best kitchen find ever was from Camping World on the recommendation of RoadKingMoe -- the 15-Piece Cookware Set. The lids become strainers and the handles come off for easy, rattle free storage. To me trade shows give one vendor's view of a product you just must have. It's nice to see a range. It surprises me there's not a Camping World closer to you -- there's one up in Concord, NH, area. It has been worthwhile for us to joint the 'President's Club.'
