Parking Levels

Are these a good thing to have?How many does everyone who uses these use.Where do you all place these on the trailer.Thanks

If the level is good you only need one of that type and it typically is mounted front and center under the window. I have heard of some issues with that brand of level recently...poor quality, liquid leaking out, etc. I have one and it is pretty decent except when I smack it changing LP tanks, then I have to re level it. I usually carry a small magnetic torpedo level and just plop it on one of the frame rails for a second opinon.

I just use about a 12" carpenters level. When I pull into a spot, I toss it onto the propane tank cover and check the level side-to-side. If necessary, I'll pull one wheel onto a board or two. Then, after I'm done unhitching, I toss it onto the floor of the trailer (while my wife is unpacking the inside) and she'll yell when we're level front-to-back.

in my opinion the tamarak level is the way to go for a airstream. i just replaced my original one after 13 years of service. the tube finally cracked letting the liquid out.

you only need one mounted on the front of your trailer, each hash mark equals 2 inches of blocking needed to level the trailer.

the replacement i purchased is of similar quality of the original. good.

I have saw those on some other T/Ts , I think they are rather large,and it stands out like a sore thumb,I like the smaller ones,

FYI, centering under the front window really isn't necessary. My dealer mounts them under the front window but at the street side corner of that window. That keeps it clear of the tanks. Level there is just as level if it is centered, and it does allow you to see the bubble from your driver's side door mirror when you park. Here's a picture of this type of mount.

ahh yes jack, yet another advantage of having a wide body trailer!
