One in every Bunch!!!!

We just got back from a long weekend of camping, I just have to share this.
On Friday night I noticed a truck camper pulling in, pulling a small fishing boat. They had a Florida license plate and looked like nice folks. So with my Mississippi hospitality I decided after a few hours to welcome them. Walked over and the guy seemed nice at first as he told me they are fixin to relocate to our area so we talked about the fishing and how he seem to like the area since they were from the Pensacola Area and the cost of living has escalated in the last year. So he and his wife asked what spot we where in and I told him 2 spots down in the Airstream (wrong) he proceeded to tell me OH in that old thing, why in the world do you folks like those old Airstreams and on and on.
By this point I was so mad, but kept my cool and just walked off.
Today he was hooking up to his little boat and forgot to wheel the jack up, my husband noticed. He left and all we could hear for about 10 min. was the grinding of metal on concrete.
As we left the campground he was on the side of the road with a twisted tongue on his little boat.
My husband wanted to stop soooo bad and help, but I pleaded for him to go on, as I explained what goes around comes around.

Rebel,

Sometimes here in California (and elsewhere) there are more than one in every bunch...they seem to gravitate toward each other to avoid having to act like humans.

There are a lot of folks that think we are crazy.....but hell, we are!

This guy sounds like someone from the shallow end of the gene pool. He'll probably just leave the boat hooked up to his truck permanently.

I sure am glad to hear that he is moving over there to Mississippi.

The bad thing it's our favorite local camp spot 20 mins from the house, so my hubby can go back and forth to work, so I'm sure we will meet up with him again.

Unusual to see justice meted out in such a timely manner! As TIMEMACHINE pointed we do have more of that sort out here "where the foam meets the flakes."

Of course I am not angry with the guy. I would have told him of the jack. Maybe he might be more civil with the next Streamer he meets. Like some one just said. "What goes around......"

I would have stopped and at some point mentioned that I'd seen that he left the jack deployed and had almost mentioned it when I remembered how confident and experienced he seemed the day before and how, because I was less experienced owning an airsream and what not, I was too intimidated to say anything for fear that I was wrong.

I might add that there was a guy bitching at me about my dog at a campground, (unjustifiably so) and the following day he left in his 5th wheel with his jacks partially up, and I didn't stop him (while I was walking the dog.) Oh Well............
