Uh..yeah.

That's what I'm doing. Questioning your medals.

Totally predictable and pitiful American behavior.

Hey, Canadians, the reason we lost is we had 6, count them 6 Ryans on our team, not even counting Bobby Ryan. The poor guys couldn't figure out who to pass to. No, the other Ryan, no not him the other one, no, no the short one.......

In other words excellent game! Glad you guys won. I'm wearing my red mittens while I watch the closing ceremony tonight.

Not a big hockey fan but that was a great game. Was exhausted after watching it.
Congratulations to the Canadians and thanks for hosting the games. Well done.

The two games between Canada were some of the best hockey I've ever watched. Kudos to Canada, they were hands down the most talented team in Vancouver with a lot of pressure to win gold, and they stepped up and got the job done. I think it is fitting that Crosby (Canada's "golden boy") gets the game winner. Anyone else notice that it was also Sidney Crosby who beat Ryan Miller in a shootout to win the Winter Classic between Pittsburgh and Buffalo a few years ago? Seems like Crosby's got Miller's number when the game's on the line and the whole world is watching.

As far as the Americans go, I couldn't be happier with their performance. They gave 110%, and it took overtime before anyone was able to beat them, and even then it took the most talented team in the world to do it. I give USA Hockey a lot of credit for putting together a younger, less experienced squad with a lot of grit and energy. Its got me looking forward to seeing this group together again in Russia four years from now!

It was a nail bitter game for sure.

Our group here had concerns re Ryan Miller. He is an admirable goalie and was playing very well. The game could have gone either way.
Great entertainment and quality performances all around.

Cheers to all the players.

Whew! That was close. Many Canadians will not have to cut their nails for a while.
What a great game and great Olympics. I am so pleased that my hometown was able to pull off such an amazing event. We may not of had the budget of Beijing, but we have over 26,000 volunteers, many of which used up their vacation days just to help out! How Canadian! Many of us will consider this a success given the record numbers of medals for our country, or the record for most Gold medals by a country in the winter games, but I think the success lies not in the medals but in what this has done for Canada. We are known for being polite to a fault, and we have this quiet love for our country. These past few weeks have been the catalyst for us to finally not be so quiet with our pride. It's aboot time! The USA is a great country and it shows in their patriotism. Now the rest of the world knows the neighbours to the North are pretty cool as well. (and we can laugh at ourselves..anyone see the closing ceremonies with the tool guy fixing the torch, or the flying moose.)
Canadians have a deep respect for the US hockey team and it was a hard fought game. You should be proud of your athletes'. As for me, I'm thankful that both Ryan Kessler and Roberto Luongo play for my team, and I hope they bring this town the Stanley Cup!
So if any of you have the desire to visit Vancouver after watching this city on tv, come on up. I'll have the back bacon and maple syrup ready for you!
Thanks to all involved, great couple weeks! (I'll post some pics in a day or two.)

So close! What a great effort by team USA and Congratulations to Canada. We were fortunate to visit Vancouver 2 years ago and it's a beautiful city. Kudos to Ryan Miller on his MVP.

What a great! game!!

Thanks to all for the good wishes, we could not have had a more worthy opponent.

Wow, that made 14 gold medals, a new record for the Winter Olympics.

And thank goodness there were no big security incidents.

I pity those trying to leave through Vancouver Airport today!

pics - better late than never

(hopefully this works and there are pictures attached)

Thought I'd post a few of the many pictures I took while the Olympics were here. What an amazing experience for this city, and what a fantastic job they did. It was nice to see that Airstream was represented here during the games, albeit with Victornox.
