We couldn't tell.

You should pick up one of the last new older designs from Mexico as they have or are about to cease production of the old ones forever. Mexico was the last holdout, but soon to be no more if it hasn't closed yet.

(no one could tell) ;)

I am looking out for VW's on sale used that are in good condition. I found one that is white and in good shape online. Color doesn't matter, as long as I own one someday!

But wait, there's more! VW will be releasing the V10 TDi in Q1 of 04 for the Touareq. That's the one I'll be trading the Jetta in for. With the air suspension it will probably run me $50K (no joke). Should be better in the MPG department.

I saw it for the first time last night, and after your posts tried to watch it closely. It appears to be a wide-body 28' Airstream tandem axle that they've manipulated to be gray and dull and without markings. Whether it was sprayed, or done digitally? I would guess digitally.

It is a cute commercial, though.

New commercial featuring a AIRSTREAM

Has anyone seen the new VW SUV commercial with this new VW towing a 25ft AIRSTREAM?? If someone could download that commercial & put it here that would be great.

There is one member on the forum that has one. There is also one in the VW lot down the street!

I can't wait for some real world feedback.

Deja Vu

There has been a long thread regarding this commercial running for the last week or so. You can search on "Taureg" to find it.

OK. So I see I wouldn't even qualify to be on Jay Leno's Jaywalk All-Stars...

Good job, Shari!

I actually went looking for the original one because I finally saw the ad the other morning. Things get down the pipeline to us Texans eventually!!

(Disclaimer: 70's dude talkin' here, still stuck in the 70's fer sure)
I agree it is around a 28 foot Safari? Why they painted it digitally or actually grey I don't know, probably some legal reason. As soon as Airstream heard about a trendy yuppie high dollar Porschey VW commercial their corporate lawyers probably started salivating!

Touareg V10 Twin Turbo 5 liter Diesel

This is one great engine. According to the VW people it could be here first quarter 2004. A good site to browse: http://www.vwvortex.com/features/mod...reg/index.html
For the Airstreamers who like to get there and go even further this is as good as it gets! For those of you who have our diesels check this out:
http://www.vwvortex.com/features/04_...31/index.shtml
The Duramax 6.6 liter diesel which is a good engine but compare it to the new diesels from both MB and VW. The VW is a 5 liter, is quite, has 553 foot pounds of torque , and gets 28 mpg, partly because it isn't hauling a extra ton of iron around.
