New Toy and Geocashing

Well I have wanted a GPS for several years. Sold one of my trucks over the weekend so I bought one. I got a deal on it as well. I bought a Garmin GPSV Deluxe. I went to Dealtime.com found a great price of $402 on it (it's $499 most places) And there is a $75 Rebate on top of that. Well I printed this stuff off and hit Circuit city and took advantage of their price matche policy. So with tax I was out the door 413 and mailing the rebate today.
Boy is it neat. Still trying to figure it out and need to load the maps in it.

It's Hi Tech hide and go seak. Several people in my imedediate area play this. For travelers it would be fun and I wondered if anybody here was involved?

I got a request from my sister in France 2 months ago, asking me to buy for one of her friend a Blank 128MB Memory Cartridge for Garvin. (don't know if it's same model).
They had already shopped for prices, and, at the time, this outfit had best prices on memory

I love Geocaching! We've hit all the good caches in our immediate area already, so I'm looking forward to finding some when we travel. It's loads of fun, and it's led us to discover so many parks in our area that we had driven by for years and never even knew existed. We took a couple cache listings with us on a trip to Victoria BC last year and it gave us an excuse to drive all over the place to areas we'd never been in. Like I said - lots of fun. We use a $100 Magellan GPS. I also always take the GPS hiking with us and mark the location of the car, just in case we get turned around. Saved us once already when we took the wrong fork in the path coming back one time.
