New Owner questions

Taking our new 2014 FC 27'
ready for Maiden voyage this Thursday. Just plugged the power in for the first time to start cooling down the fridge and charge the batteries.

What temp setting do most people use on the fridge? (1 thru 5)?

How long does it typically take for fridge to cool down to temperature?

Does the Parallax Power Converter fan cut on when the batteries are being charged? It's cycling on and off.

Thanks for help?

The converter fan cycling on/off is normal whenever you are connected to shore power (even if your use/store switch is set to store).

I've been leaving my frig on 1. It will read 31 degrees on the frig screen, but I don't think it's actually that cold in the frig (based on a separate thermometer I keep in the frig).

If I have a couple of weeks between trips I'll leave the frig on, but I turn the temp setting up to 3 or 4 with jugs of water inside.

The refrigerator in our trailer normally takes at least 12 hours to cool completely down. I keep the thermostat on "4" unless we are in extremely hot weather and then I move the thermostat to "5". Keeping the thermostat on "4" generally results in a reading of 36 degrees on the display.

Hope this helps. Good luck with your new trailer. We love our 27FB.

Taking delivery of a 30' Flying Cloud and as I was wandering around I could not find the fan that is outside the trailer. I was told that the larger models do not have a refrigerator fan. Can others confirm this?
