New Forum Home Page Design!
Our community offers so many features that are commonly overlooked, I felt it would benefit our community to enhance our "home page". You can still access the forums in the same ole' interface that you are used to by going to www.airforums.com/forums/.
I will be optimizing the home page over the next week and it should allow us to communicate even more effectively!
Please post your feedback, comments, etc...

Spell Check
Think New H ome Page is Great! You are certainly very active in keeping your Forums current and attractive. Have one problem - can't get the spell check to work for me - I always get an error message telling me how to subscribe to the spell checker??
Can you help with this problem or is pecular to my computer ??

Spell checker
Dr Joe,
Your puter is fine(Is that too broad a statement to make?? )..From my own experiences and, that of others..It's the spell checker that's 'goofy'..I'm of the opinion that we should all learn to 'look it up'..lol ...or do the cut and paste method using ur WP. It's a cost issues and, frankly I'm for keeping the cost load down on Andy.
ciao

Andy,
I really like the format, one wish though... Can you make the field for the subject longer so it is easier to determine the contents of the messages.
Thanks
Mike

The field is that short for those who are on 800x600 resolution. When your resolution is small, the words wrap and it looks super bad.
Thanks for the feedback. I will keep that in mind!

LOST IN AIRSTREAM LAND
I am new to the AS site. It looks like a comprehensive super site but not being (REALLY NOT BEING and never will be) a computer person puts me at a loss in here. I just seem to wander around and wind up in unexpected places and sometimes don't know how I got there or how to return w/o the wander/search method. I don't know what "threads" are or what subscribing to them will do etc. I just keep coming back and wandering cuz it's fun !
Thanx for letting me bend your ear ! suz
p.s. no AS as yet . . . we've got our eye on one and hoping the owner we approached will decide to sell the '67-'68? Tradewind and at a price we can live with. (sort of have a name for her already)
p.p.s. what do the rivets mean ? 1, 2, master etc.???

suggestions
Hi Andy,
Here are a couple of things I'd find useful:
1. an option to make the left frame stationary so that I could log in/out; choose quick links; switch to news stories, etc. without backtracking or having to punch the "Home" button
2. an option to select which message interface I'd like as my default when I login. For me this would be the "View new posts." Others might prefer "Last 24 hours" or the one that now comes up.
Thanks for all your good work. Even if you didn't change anything, I'd still love this site. I wish the other information sites I subscribe to for other interests were as well organized.
Eugenie
