Have met the man who is making these and seen his completely rebuilt original and also saw one of the new ones at the Moraine View Rally last June. The builder is a very professional individual and I'm sure he got all necessary clearances from Airstream before starting. And they're so reasonably priced - just 130K!

But if you subtract 60k saved in not buying the monster TV it is cheaper right ?
Besides I read it was "only" 110k.

The standard version is $110k and the customized one is $130k. They've announced a price increase for 2016.

The Spirit of St. Louis was designed by William Hawley Bowlus in 1926 and built in San Diego in 1927.
