New Airstream dealer in Northern IL

My bother went to the RV and boat show in Chicago today and found that a new dealer is slated to open in Bollingbrook. He seems to think it's an Iowa company, but couldn't be sure.

Anyone go to the show yet have any info?

A/s Dealer

The dealership might be through U S AdventureRV the Davenport, Iowa dealer. I will be over there on Monday and will report back to you on this. I have done business with them and found they are very helpful. Ed

Milwaukee Dealer

I was at the new Milwaukee dealer wednesday. He was aware of competition coming to IL. He thought it was to be in Bloomington. He knew they were to be a satelite of a Iowa dealer. Milwaukee dealer seemed nice but was part of a car dealership and did not have an RV store associated with him. Told us he was going to handle the new base camp as well as A series diesel pushers, B van style Interstate and the trailers. Also told us Airstream has decided not to make the Aluminum bodied motor home or any more front engine motorhome models.

When he was at the show, the dealer was handing out info. I should see the info in a day or so. From what it sounded like, the dealer brought a Skydeck to the show (at McCormick Place) and at least 1 19' CCD from what my non-Airstream following brother could describe to me.

Yes there is a dealer opening in Bolingbrook IL, just off I-55 and Rt 53. They are part of AdventureRV. It will be nice to have a dealer that is 15 miles away.

I spoke with them at the show on Friday. They will be selling more than just Airstream trailers though.

FYI- I talked with Trevor from US Adventure, and the Basecamp won't be out for another couple of months. The tent thing in the back of the BC is an option.

Yes. The skydeck was awsome!

I also wonder about R&R RV in Gilman, ILL. The new AS dealer will give them a run for the money.

So us mid-westerners now have Ewald's in Milwaukee, R&R in Gilman (Kankakee), and US Adventure in Bollingbrook.

I also talked very briefly with Vickie (Lazur) from AS, but she was busy directing tours of the sky deck.
