Texas Panhandle

Put me down for the Texas Panhandle.
I have a Sony Mavica that uses floppy disc for film....so email, or snail mail the floppy.
Will inspect and pics for gas as my schedule permits.....Lubbock, Midland, Odessa, Amarillo.

Just the opposite

I drove 8 miles to find my Airstream which was practically in my backyard so to speak in the Lake Minnetonka area. It turns out I bought it from a family that lived right across the little lake from MarkDoane. Had I only known Don then I could have gotten some advice.

I don't know if I am an enough of an expert for someone to trust my judgment yet. Maybe after next Spring when I get seriously into my Airstream I will have more confidence. It is a very new venture for me at this time.

Minnesota seems in good hands. Markdoane and Ultradog know their stuff.

Glad to see so many people are interested. I'm still adding to the list. We need a lot more people to really cover the country, so please volunteer if you feel able!

(By the way, there isn't a whole lot of skill or experience required. Just take a lot of pictures, with closeups of everything, and just that simple service will help a buyer a LOT! If you can interpret the pictures, so much the better, but it's not required.)

Also, don't hesitate to provide "redundant" coverage. The first person to cover an area may not be available when a potential buyer comes calling, so the more the merrier!

Remember: give your area of coverage, what type of pictures you can take (digital, film), whether you can burn a CD or email them.

I'll continue to update the list (posted above) in PDF format as long as people keep volunteering.

As to the issue of whether volunteers can be trusted not to steal a good deal, that's between the individual parties involved. But I would expect that members of this board would have the ethical sense to do the right thing.

I probably need an update to mine, 4 hour radius of RDU also includes southern VA. I am a traveling sales rep/ project manager for a national roofing contractor. I am based out of the Raleigh, NC area but travel extensively. So ask away, I might just be in the area. I have been as far north as Penn and as far south as Tampa, FL. I can burn a CD if needed it will just take a day or two longer

I don't know if that's where Lincoln is, however ...

Anybody who has changes/updates to their data, just PM me.

I just posted the latest version this evening (see my earlier posts, above for the link to the PDF file).

24 volunteers and still counting! But there are some big and important areas uncovered: Massachusetts, NY, Ohio, northern CA, parts of FL, a lot of the southeast US, etc.

Can do within 50 miles of the Philadelphia area, which includes part of Delaware, and New Jersey. Digital, still or video, or CD.
Am new to the game but know what to look for.

Re: Lincoln, MI

Lincoln is in northern Mich, 135 miles from me. Perhaps someone closer might volunteer?
I've been in touch with aviontt via PM and offered to look at another one he is interested in a location which is much closer to me.

I can do Florida. Ocala to Orlando. Tampa to Naples sometimes.

Have digital camera and cd burner. My availability can be spotty, but will let anyone who asks know ahead of time if I can get to it.

All I ask is for a buck or two for gas and postage for the CD of pictures if need be.

Can't Pass This Up...

Count me in. I'm good for central AZ including all of the metro Phoenix area. Digital, still, floppy and/or CD. Can be contacted through PM or by email at 'stream2699@cox.net.' Great idea and not to worry about unscrupilous acts as my driveway's already full and we're parking our cars on the street.

Talking

This thread has been spit off the why? why? why? Thread since it has evolved into something completely different and beneficial to the Forum.

I can cover from Port Charlotte (just south of Sarasota) to Naples, and East to LaBelle, Florida. While I don't have Digital capability yet, I do have a VHS camcorder that does very well in low light, and tight spots. I also work in a repair shop that could take care of minor repairs to get a trailer on the road and on its way home (tires, brakes, wiring, etc).

I can cover a 300 mile radius in western Canada (Edmonton, Alberta) Just think how far those US dollars will go towards your new-used A/S up here! I'm sure you could buy a Bambi for like $5. I will borrow my brother-in-law's digital cam to e-mail you pics and give a detailed description of the trailer’s overall condition. You will agree to reimburse me for the fuel costs in my miserly Volkswagen Jetta. (I will send receipt). No need to worry about me purchasing your sought after gem. Heck, I can’t even afford to buy my own digital cam!

<<<Sorry, but my offer only applies to medium or long standing forum members and their verified friends & families>>>

I'd be willing to volunteer for a small donation.

Jax, Daytona, Orlando, Melbroune, West Palm Beach(east coast of FL)

Ocala & north on I-75 to southern GA

Food for thought:

200 mile round trip @ .30 per mile = $60 donation

Covers your fuel and wear & tear on your vehicle.
