Portland, OR
I'll go 50 miles or so, and I have digital camera, CD recorder and the ability and judgement to take notes, and 300 pictures if necessary.
I love this idea, and nothing beats a 2nd opinion from a 3rd party.
I take pictures of stuff even when I'm looking at it. It helps me rember the details, and sometimes the digital pictures can reveal things that you don't see even when you are there in person.
Glad to help out if I can.
I'm actually enlisting a member here to check out a MoHo for me this weekend. I feel it's my duty to offer the same for any of you.
I think it's fun to check out all the different airstreams out there anyway.
I have watched this thread for some time now and almost used a volunteer a couple of months back to check out a Classic 34 for me, but just before arrangements were to be made, and after corresponding with the owner for about a month, with every reply assuring me his was the best example to be found anywhere and asking where I found all the technical queries I was presentling (a second generation dealer is a friend) he sent me "the information sent to all inquiries".
Almost all items, which were in a continuous text format rather than an itemized list, had been given in previous emails. ALMOST....in the middle of this rambling dialogue was the one thing not previously mentioned - " some small hail dings".
Another email asking for photos of this damage went unanswered. I didn't bother following up.
I have seen a number of suggestions that the list be updated regularly and posted where it can be found easily. Great idea, it will save reading the entire thread to find a volunteer for a specific area. How about it Mr. Moderator?? Make a continually updated list a click on category in the "Quick Links"?

Looking for Late Model Classic 34
Although we have been looking for a late model Classic 34 trailer, we have come across a '95 Classic 360 DP MH in NW GA, which we quite like the looks of and are seriously considering.
At the moment, I need someone to check it out. Its about 90 miles from Atlanta and 30 miles from Chattanooga. I have PM'd HP9K but if anyone else can do this, please let me know by PM.
Visual inspection for appearance & condition from my checklist and photos as requested. Mechanicals will be left for truck or motorhome service center if appearance & coach condition are OK.
Thanks

Looking for Late Model Classic 34
Well, I'm new to the board and still looking for a 30 ft Airstream. Is there anyone in the Helena Oh area that can look at one????
In return let me volunteer for NJ from Philadelpha to Atlantic City. I have a digital and used to do the same thing for Corvettes on another board. I don't know AS that much but I can be a pair of eyes and look for what you ask.
We have digital cam, camcorder,Cd burner and a GPS unit if we get lost...lol.Am in Woodlawn,tn which put me 25 min to an hour away from most of these places...We can do Clarksville,Dover,Dickson And parts of Nashville,Kentucky. We love a good road trip....
For some reason the "quote" function would not work...but 3 posts above this one it is suggested that a "quick link" be established for the "Forum Inspectors List".......I vote for that!! Here I am searching for the most current list and haven't found it yet!! Bill Help!!
Looking for someone near Trenton, MI (zipcode 48183) who can check out a late model trailer for me.
Thanks.
When do you need it looked at? I might be able to do it on Sunday, I'm going downriver, as we call it, to look at a sailboat. Email me: ssbtdoom at gmail.com
Greetings Fellow Alumaholics,
I just received an email response from "rluhr" the Forum member who started the thread and once maintained the list of members willing to inspect. Rich Luhr reports that he is no longer maintaining the list and is in fact no longer even a member of Airstream Forums.
Can we get one of the moderators to pick up the task, maintain the list, and provide a "quicklink" for quick and easy reference when we need it?
It really would be another useful feature of an already amazingly useful forum!
please post any changes to the original inspector list if you want to be added or removed. I will compile and then edit the list and post it again in a convenient location here.
