Need suggestions on used Airstream
I've been wanting a vintage trailer (specifically AS) and found this ad today in our local sale paper:
1967 AIRSTREAM MODEL AML, body type TT, double jacks, stove, refrig, heat, air, sleeps 4. Don't know actual length but it's around 20', good cond. moving, need to sell ASAP.
I'm going to look at it Friday but no idea what to look for, what it's worth, etc. I'd be so grateful for your ideas, thoughts and suggestions?

Exactly. The only 20' in '67 was the Globe Trotter.
The only ones with "AM" in the name were the Ambassadors, but they were both 28'.
But maybe there's a code for the names.

An expensive item to replace, if needed, is the axle.
You can learn how to easily check it out without any tools.
Read the axle article in Airstream Central, which is a part of this Forums.
Then Friday, you can check that out as well.
If it's not good, then you will be able to explain why when you make a cheaper offer for the coach.

Welcome to the forum!
A vintage trailer could be something you can go camping in, OR something you spend a year or three and 10k to 15k to restore/ renovate. If you are not familiar with purchasing Airstreams I suggest you get in touch with an experienced person through this sites trailer inspection link. I believe it is in the upper right hand of the forum page. If you are serious you should do this NOW, as it may take some coordination to get someone there to help you. If everything LOOKS good, and you have hidden floor rot, you will not be a happy camper.
