Need Solar Installers in Colorado

Hi, I recently purchased a 2012 25' Flying Cloud and I am looking to have a solar system installed. If anybody can recommend a good company to do this in Colorado, it would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I don't know of any in Colorado but will follow this post. I am interested as well. I have a Renogy suitcase solar charger and it does a good job. Would like to add panels on the roof.

I just purchased an AS from a dealer in Colorado (Windish RV), and they are located in Lakewood and Longmont CO. They are installing 2x 100W panels on our AS before we pick it up next week. I know these panels use different batteries as compared to the factory solar panels/batteries. I'm sure they would install on an AS you currently own. Good luck.

I have heard good things about a mobile tech named Marvin Braun, who does work in Colorado. I have not personally seen his work.

I live just northest of Denver and have a 2017 25FB that I just installed solar on myself. I explored several local installer options before I chose to do it myself. I have nothing negative to say about local installers but did want it done a certain way (no screws in roof). My biggest fear was getting on the roof but turns out I was able to do the install without ever getting on the roof. I learned a lot in the process and ended up installing a 400 watt system with dual AGM batteries that works great. I purchased everything from AM solar and recommend them highly. I would be happy to help you out if you want to take it on yourself.

Bump on down to texas, and A&P can handle anythin you can throw at em.

Paul installed both of Lewster's setups (classic and 23d) as well as many other systems throughout the years.

Hey OrangeCrush, thanks for the reply! I would be interested in looking at your system as this is in the size range I was looking for. I am very handy and am pretty sure I could pull it off but I would like to see what you did and how you went about it. I live in Evergreen but am all over Denver frequently. Maybe we can work out a time for me to see it. And, let me know what kind of beer you like! I will try to PM you my contact info. Thanks!

Now that you are a couple years down the road with your solar upgrade, do you have any thoughts as far as Windish doing the install? Was 200 watts enough? I'm impatiently waiting for my FC27FB to arrive and planned on a larger Solar install. Any other thoughts?

Hi

Will your 27FB have a compressor fridge in it? If so that will have a significant impact on your solar "needs" compared to an older Flying Cloud.

These people are very honest, do great work and install solar panels on Airstreams in the Denver Colorado (Henderson) area:

Give them a try...they are the nicest people and they love Airstreams

Bob
I guess you would call it a 2 way. Shore power or propane. No battery option.

Hi

If it runs on propane, it's not a compressor based unit. That will save you a bit of 12V drain when off grid.
