Need an Inspector in Tucson, Arizona ASAP, please!

Hey, all! I "won" a 1959 Ambassador on Ebay recently. The seller is holding it for me, but before I cough up the money and travel 2000 miles (round trip), I sure would like to have one of our trustworthy, fair and balanced Airstream inspectors to take a good long look at it.

If you can do this for me I would be glad to pay for your trouble. Thanks for any and all help. I will be glued to the forum...

Decided to head south, I thought you were staying on I40?

Lots of Airstreamers in Tucson!

Actually, I've been talking to a couple of moderators and emailing everyone on this forum who lives in Tucson for the past few days. Maybe this post will get more attention and someone will be willing to make a trip for me. Lots of great friends here on this forum.

Hope your trip's a good one, 2air...

Sierrajb, where in the Tucson area is the trailer?

I cannot get reply to "private messages" to work.....

Not exactly a mechanic here but I could tell you what I think and send you a couple of email attachment pics maybe....

Glad to meet you, Larry! I just emailed the owners and told them you were a "good friend of mine...a neat guy...who knew a lot about Airstreams and what it takes to make a long, safe trip to Ft. Worth." I believe this is true. I count you a friend, especially NOW, and I'm sure you know more about Airstreams than I do.

I told them you would be my "eyes" and would be taking pics for me. So, as soon as you determine when you'll arrive, I will email them to let them know. I will also get their phone number so you can call them if needed.

I'll wait to hear your traveling schedule. Thanks again, Larry! Owe you bigtime!

Larry,
You nailed it! You can't imagine the level of anxiety I have right now. And to hear I have someone like you to check out this trailer....Well, that's almost too much...too cool!

I will contact them immediately (after this post). How far will this be for you to travel? May I give them your cell number, etc., too?

My cell is 817-253-6948 and my email is jbatpbc@sbcglobal.net. I have a college class to teach on Tuesday and will be more available for real-time conversations at 11 am. Will moving the time to 11 am put a crimp in your travel plans? If so, I can make it happen when you need. Just let me know.
