Need a trailer?

WOW! Checked out Craig's List - Denver and hit the jackpot tonight!

'65 Caravel
'72 Overlander
'64 Land Yacht - Looks like a Tradewind or Overlander to me
'72 Argosy
'48 WeeWind (in Ohio)

I don't know any of these folks, just passing along the info ~

Shari

Shari, the '64 Land Yacht is a Tradewind, with a single axle.

Yeah that's what I thought...thanks for the confirmation ~

Too bad I don't have time, money or space...I'd consider that one. At least going to look at it ~

It does look pretty good for its age. It doesn't have enough axles under it for me, I have grown to like twins (axles, that is).

Hey, how about that Overlander. "Small plumbing issues", oh man. Says it's great, then says it's a fixer upper. The "creativity" people use to lie is amazing.

That Argosy looks pretty nice, though. Just the dent on the side. A lot of axle play left, too, looks like.

The "plumbing issues" would not be a problem to me, I have re-plumbed our entire coach, but it would have to be reflected in the price, and it looks like they want top dollar. I guess, though, it is easier to reduce a higher price, than increase a too-low one.

Hey, I just found them...you have to decide if they're "worth it" or a "good deal" for your self your billfold, your time & talent ~

You know what they say, "One man's junk is another man's treasure!"

I wasn't commenting on the units themselves, I would take the overlander, the TW or Argosy, if I was looking for a coach. I just don't like the way some people couch their descriptions.

This one found me~

Here's the scoop...

Owner is an older gentleman, very nice on the phone (he called me out of the blue)
it's a 1979 TradeWind International Double
2nd owner, he's had it for 18 years
he bought it from Fay Meyers (the race car guys) they had it parked in FL at a private golf club and only slept in it, no cooking, bathing or toilet use, they used the clubhouse & restaurant for that. He said all the labels and manuals were still attached when he got it. Has all the manuals.
it's all original upholstry, cabinets & finishes
no smoking
no pets
it's in a RV lot at C-470/Kipling if you want to look at it, no problem
Owner said he's been offered $5000 for it, wanted to know if that was "fair" I said without seeing it it's hard to say, but if it's as nice as he says, that's probably in the ballpark (RJ says $4500-7500 for average condiditon)

I know someone (very well respected multi-Airstream owner) who went to look at it last weekend and said the Owner was asking $7000+ for it which was out of this buyer's budget for a third/fourth Airstream, it would be a nice unit though. Here's his observation comments:
Quote:
It is a nicely taken care of trailer. We like the floorplan, the storage is good, and the sleeping arrangement is good. Sitting outside for for most of its life the clearcoat is pretty well trashed. It hasn't been used at all in 4 years due to health problems of the owner. The interior fabric and such is dated but in good condition. It is not pristine, but is a good survivor. It needs of course tires, marker light lenses, the gas bottles updated with the new valves. The rear bath counter plastic is cracked. The stove and oven are exceptionally clean as is the frig. All the tambour doors are there and working and not cracked. The Armstorng A/C unit may of maynot work. It has an 8 track that works as well as the radio. The vista view windows up front are unfogged, and all the other window work.
I have the owner's phone number, if you are interested send me a PM and I will forward it to you.

Good luck ~

Shari

P.S. There are also several others listed in the DenCO Unit Classifieds Section of the website
