I recently came across a set of national geographic magazines dating back to the early 1960,s anyone know what copies( year and months) have airstream articles in them i was told that i could have them all if i wanted them however i am just interested in the ones with airstream stuff in them the old adds are realy cool though especialy the car adds

You may have to go back a little further.
September, 1958, National Geographic Magazine, among a few from that era~
Oops, that's an ad` There was a travelog in the 50's in the magazine..You might look thru that era~

I can't give you the precise references, but the information would be easily accessed at your local public library. Ask for The Reader's Guide to Periodical Literature for the years that you are interested in checking. Then it is a simple process of just looking up "Airstream", and/or "Recreational Vehicles". I suspect that there would be more articles in the 1950s, but I do believe that there were at least a few in the 1960s.
