Red face My husband, Mr. Dummy.... (Found this on eBay)

Airstream 1969 Overland for Parts Trailer Vehicle Description
Have your Airstream trailers propane system checked regularly or your trailer could look simular to what ours looks like now. Sold to us in complete working & operational order last December we drove to Missouri and picked up it up and prepared for our vacation early this year. My husband Mr. Dummy parked it next to the house and had the 50 amp. cord plugged into the electricity as we were preparing last month for a extended 30-day vacation with the kids. Mr. Dummy had just switched the refrigerator over to propane and lit the pilot so the refrigerator would be operational.... Everything was fine and dandy, it was about 6:00 o'clock and it was getting dark outside when I looked thru our bay window and saw flames shooting out of the outside compartment door behind where the refrigerator was located in the trailer. I yelled the trailer is on fire..! By the time the local Fire Dept. arrived this is all that was left of our $ 5500.00 dream trailer.. Our home owners insurance paid us $ 400.00 for the damage to the house and the balance of $ 600.00 for the travel trailer for a grand total of $ 1000.00 with a $ 500.00 deductable. Needless to say we took a $ 4500.00 loss and Mr. Dummy spent his vacation cleaning the soot off of the brick and repairing the wood eaves of the house that were burned while me and the kids took a short mini vacation to the gulf coast.

The trailer is being sold ASIS WHERE IS WITH A BILL OF SALE.

The manual and all the paperwork, what is left of it, is in a menellow folder. The Missouri title burned up inside the trailer, the previous owner signed off on it yet was never registered in Texas under our name.

The trailer has some good usable aluminum skin left, all of the underskin is useable, a few double insulated windows, 2 axles one with brakes, recent bearings repacked, tows great behind a 1/2 ton suburban, uses a 2.5/16" ball, just dosent meet our needs as a useable travel trailer.

Offering the trailer for $ 1200.00 reserve, first come first served, my loss your gain.

Vehicle Condition
BURNED........

A new axle in Jackson Center, Ohio is $ 895.00 + shipping, backing plates with brakes add another $ 110.00 + shipping.

Aluminum skin cannot be ordered.....

Good parts for someone that could use them....

Mr. Dummy, Mr. Dummy, Mr. Dummy. I don't see how it was HIS fault any more than it was HERS. She didn't get the propane checked either, and he didn't actually do anything else wrong as far as I can tell.

I think the only dumb thing he's done is marry such a b*tch.

And one who likes to ridicule in public.

I think there is more to this one. On the website that is listed for more pictures, (which there were no more at the time of my posting), he says he thinks the other Airstream led to the "Divorce". Or he might just be selling it for her and Dummy.

more photos

At the risk of being rude, I don't think it's much more hazardous than the megaton '73 Sovereign that is currently being advertised as a "travel" trailer.

I've heard of the old Byam Burner, but this is ridiculous.

Took a look

i finally had to take a look at what this thread was all about....First didn't read that it was from Ebay, I figured we would never hear from Bobby again. Took me a minute to realize....

What a mess. I would take it for, free....I think the back end would be fun as a tool shed in the yard.... I could use the base for the mardi gras float.....Hmmmm....too bad it didn't burn here in MO!!!
