Not kept in the trailer (too expensive), but don't forget:
Laptop
telephone numbers & email addresses (on laptop)
cellphone (and charger!)
GPS (whoops - haven't bought one yet, but going to soon)

What great advice!!!

This is all great advice. Great idea to keep emergency numbers/ contacts etc in case something came up and a stranger needed the info to contact a family member.

Digital Camera - to record the fun and document the problems so I can remember what to fix "if" I get home safely. Good way to explain (a picture is worth a thousand typed words) what's wrong to you guys when I get on the road.

My thoughts...

Love the thread!

Bring paperback books. XM and all hardware plus small boombox so I can listen after the 'crowd' goes to bed and I'm readin'...

Love the beer idea 2air! Cheers...

Gotta bring the "SLOW - children playing!!!" signs since many folks seem to find campgrounds a TERRIFIC place to continue the blazing speed records that they created on the way to the campground. SP's are rated at max 65mph right? Course TV tires are rated higher....Sigh

Sometimes I wanna slap some sense into a few people..... Hitting someone, ESPECIALLY MY KID, would RUIN my vacation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Arg.

Thanks for the thread. I am sure I will think of more to add!

Wedgewood bites man in as* due to back turned!

Wedgewood for the dog or cats sounds so "Chi-Chi!" Fine for you and your crowd. Count me seriously OUT. Ours get plastci bowls with food ( if they are LUCKY!) and some water. Full stop.

Kitchen Towels are another item that seems to re sorted into the home drudgery. The TT is always WAY short on cleane and useful towels.

Take a roll of paper towel and window spray for when you want to add that bumper sticker RIGHT the h*ll NOW!!!!! NOt my bag, but the towels and spray are great fot so many uses around the RV. PAck em!

That's right I forgot about the dogs they have there stuff. Dog leash never can find them when we leave, water bowls and food bowls going to wal-mart now and get all extra's just for the trailer. Oakley our mutt and king of the roost likes his little blanket so I cant forget that. And Annie our Bassett loves her chew bones so an extra box of scoobie snacks for Annie.

Smile Great thread Becky!

I love these kinds of threads!! Great ideas and lots of fun.
I like to take the latest novel or puzzle books for brief moments of downtime (when the child is napping!) sudoku, crosswords, just anything to keep the gears from rusting! The staple besides all the wonderful necessities for kids, dogs, and hubby maintenance is coffee, I grind it up before I go cause I like it strong enough to float a battleship!! Course you all know about Seaport coffee down there on the gulf, that's the kind of coffee I'm talkin about!!

A box of disposable rubber gloves for the trailer and another for the truck. The 100 pack boxes at Harbor Freight cost under 10 bucks a box.

Now, if I could just get the dear wife to hook-up that sewer hose.

Kind of like Mandolindave

While I don't leave it in the airstream, I always take my Ukulele. We love sitting around the campfire at night playing music and having fun as everyone comes up to talk to us. We look at it as having novelty-squared: a vintage airstream and a ukulele. It is too much fun!
