Those of you who are going to be traveling in Missouri might want to check out Modot.org for road conditions. It's been reported here in Kelso we have had 15 inches of rain this past week and another 1-3 to be expected in the next few days. Stay safe!

In the rest of the country, April showers bring May flowers. Here in Missouri April showers bring May showers. We arrived here at Sparrowfoot COE campground on Monday. Shortly after supper the ranger came around to tell us that we would have to move in the morning because the water was coming up and the electricity would be turned off for our site. We elected to move that evening rather than wait for the next morning. We're up on the highest campsite in the park.

We spent April as campground hosts at Stockton State Park. The last day there I checked on one of the walk-in sites and the lake was about 4' below the firepit level. I'm guessing that that site was closed the next day.
