Janet,

Orange or lime green would be welcome. The second owner (we are the fourth) fancied herself an artist. The interor end cap is bright blue, the walls bright yellow, some orange, and other desicration with gray swirl paint on the counter tops. Oh well, it is ours, and we can feel like we rescued the minuet.

The unit did come with a lot of the orginal documentation and I have the owners manual for '77' Argosy. But there is some confusion. The manual doesn't list the minuet but does list a 20'. Can I depend on the 20' to be the correct description of the Minuet?

I have visited your photo gallery severl times in the last year. Kept me looking and hopeing. Now it will serve to help keep me working for perfection.

Yeah and with your skills and a little time, I'm sure the transformation will be fabulous!

Change of Thread Name

I think now a mod can change - with your permission of course - the name of this thread from "Mini" to "MAJOR". Post some pictures soon.

Merry Christmas,

Mike

The Minuets are narrow - about 8 inches - and many have aluminum wafer/composit floors under the carpet. The systems were about the same and the tank sizes. Sounds like you have a unique interior......

Go pictures?

Janet,

Thanks for the clairfication. It does have the Aluminum wafer floor. The 6 meter is not yet in my drive way but will be delivered as soon as weather permits. Here are the only photos that I have of her. All were taken by the PO. I will post photos of the interior after she comes home. The only major difference is the door has been badly bent out of shape when the lock stuck. :-(

As suggested this really has changed from a Mini to a Major. The wind is blowing and snow sideways but the neighbors can all hear my joy.

It looks very good Royce. "Couple" projects that, when complete can be mutually enjoyed, are a lot of fun. What a great Christmas present and now everyone will know what to get you for special events like Christmas, birthdays etc - stuff for the trailer.

It's only paint....

Have fun with the insides. If you are lucky, you may be able to strip the paint off the vinyl walls, but I'd just paint over it with your color(s) of choice. The inside is so small, it won't take too much time.

How's the outside? I'm not sure why that streetside rear window is duct taped? Is it still? If it's just a question of sealing it, the rubber window seal is available from any AS dealer.

The door. This might be a problem. Once you get it, you may want to post pics of it. Those locks are expensive as well (as in $600 and up! ) Inland RV has a kit to modify the door for a cheaper lock (but I think the kit is still about $200.00).

Janet and husband have swapped out their old axle for a new Henschen. They got great clearance too afterwards.

No AC means less to repair or replace! Janet has also put in a fantastic fan in the front vent. It really helps give more natural light, and air. I do believe they don't use their heater - the small size means natural body heat does a great job (according to them ..... I may not be as full of hot air though! ).

Post when you know more!

Marc,

Thanks for the suggestions, I need all the help I can get for sure.

The street side window was hit by the PO backing a camper into it while open. I didn't remove any of the tape so not sure how bad it is. Won't close at any rate. I am pretty good at moveing metal so may be able to salvage it. If not will be looking for a replacement.

I will try to clean the paint off the vinyl first then paint if needed. Door lock, neighbor is pretty good with his metal lathe. He will be my first stop. He helps me keep the wood working equipment working and I help him with wood work. Works out pretty good for both of us. The 6 meter may tilt the scales a little though.

I figure a fantastic fan is a given regardless if the old one works or not.

If I read the posts on axles correctly we still have plenty of travel on ours. When it comes time to replace I will look into high clearance options as we like to get off the path a little.
