Click on members list,
Search Members,
Advanced Search.
Then enter the state you wish to search on.

Yeah, OK, I did that and it's a great feature I never knew existed but I can't get to a second page. When I click on the second or even third page at the bottom, it takes me to the second or third page of the entire alphabetical membership list. Anyone else have this issue?

Yup. Searching California members reveals a list of 724 members in 15 pages of 50 each but only the first page has California-only members and the other pages revert to the entire list. Can you spell bug?

It does look like a problem. However to get around the problem change the options for order results on the advanced search page. Try sort by posts and it should work correctly, it did for me. You could also select sort by reputation (which I do not think works) and it will keep the list in the original order and allow you to page.

If you select the state, 500 listings per page (I think default is 100), then select descending order at the bottom of the page. It works in reverse Jeff

I recall that someone mentioned that there are disproportionately more Airstreams in the East than in the West. Using the Forum membership as a sample from the Airstream population, those of us with a statistical bent might perform some tests of this assertion.
For example, I notice that of the nearly 14,000 members, 724 are identified as being in California. That figure is a bit over 5%, however the total California population is about 12.5% of the U.S. population. So, I'd say that California appears to have considerably less than its proportion of Airstreams by population. I wonder what states have disproportionately more.
Anyone care to run the test?

Only 5011 members list the US as their country (252=canada and 42=england).Most members do not list a country or a state. Many who do make up the information. The list is what it is, a list.
However, if we use the numbers for California, 724 of 5011 US members equals 14.4% or just higher then the 12.5% of the population. Arizona has 142 members listed which would be 2.8% of the US members.
Interesting numbers, I doubt they mean anything.

Just for fun...
Here's a table comparing the distribution of members by state against the distribution of population across those states. The second column indicates those states where the member distribution exceeds the population distribution by 100% or more (high) and where the member distribution is less than the population distribution by 50% or more (low). I found 4,987 members who declared a state, which leaves quite a few US members who have not.
There are errors in all estimates, but I thought this might be fun. The data are there and I've got time on my hands.
Perhaps there are some other fun computations to make. How about correlating Forum membership by median age of the population or the days of sunshine or the median temperature? I'd bet there are positive correlations for all.
