What became of the other submissions?

Who voted on the above finalists?
Seems I remember a small round one (perhaps based on a rivet) by one of our members who was a professional graphic artist.

I liked it and would like to take this opportunity to commend him on his work. Sorry it didn't make the cut pal, but it would have been my choice anyway.

All the finalists are excellent as well. I would make book on one to win and another to place. However that might skew the outcome so good luck to all.

Decisions, decisions...

None of the choices appear to be readily distinguishable at a distance or by a quick view. They are however, very creative and artistic.

Sticker time

Thanks Hex,
I appreciate the complement on my design. I too am sorry it was now in the list of those to vote on. It is quite normal for people to like designs that are too complicated and can't be understood unless you are a foot away from it. Until they are applied to a vehicle. Don't matter. I was just offering some free help with this project. We will still enjoy this forum and thank Andy for making it happen.

Ditto...yours would have been one of the ones I voted for...had it been included.

Will we ever be able to actually obtain one of these stickers?!? It seems we have been talking about them for months?. Lets pick one or two designs and find out what it will cost to produce them?

none of these...

none of these seem like they'd make a very good sticker. too complex, too many colors. none of tem seem like they'd stand out on the side of a vehicle (other than the big blue dot).

Here, Here! Although the dot wouldn't stand out on the side of my trailer, as I might choose to pass on it.

Thank you to everyone who obviously put a lot of time into their ideas!

Bummer! Is it really too late to submit another entry?? I guess I haven't been spending as much time at the boards lately, or I would have been excited to compete in this process. Some very creative ideas, you all have!

Too funny. same ole same ole - you can not please everyone all of the time.

The way I see it - a decal that is recognizable from a distance probably should be a poster! Hey how about a Flag???

So are we to recognize the decal flying by at 70 MPH or as we casually walk by a fellow member at a nice peaceful campsite - if the later then any and all the decals would be fine.

As for all the entries that have been submitted - would we ever be able to PICK one???? Shortlisting is the perogative of the organizers has been and probably always will be - so if you are not on the organizing comittee just go with the flow and pick from the pack.

A big round dot - would probably be the cheapest - one colour and easy die cast cutting plate.

One other small observation - the WBCCI decal has been around how long???? you can not possibly tell me that you can recognize that a 100 feet away. But from within the circles you just know what it is.

So the sooner we pick one and run with it and spread it quick the sooner we all will know who has one and where to find them!

Good job to those organizers trying to get this job done within a year - Board of Directors usually take about 2-3 years to get anything done!!!!
