Member KUDOS!! Right Here

Has someone here done a good deed for you? A random, or not so random act of kindness?

In all seriousness let's give credit where it is due right here!!
Anonymous or named --- doesn't matter its the act of helping above and beyond that counts.

I will start with two;
When we first began this forum, a member offered to copy a few important pages of his service manual for me. I ended up getting mailed to me a very well copied and complete manual, which proved invaluable over the next years of my motorhome ownership. Kudos!

Just this week a current member read my posts that I lacked the spring bars for my old Reese dual cam set up...and offered to send me a pair he was not using....wow...KUDOS!!

Come on people we know AS Forums is a supportive community ... in more than just advice and q&a....let's show it here.

Are we naming names?

I previously posted the 1st one here, but I like this thread idea.

1) Fellow airstreamers pulled over and helped me on the Oregon coast highway when our awning decided to go road surfing. I don't know if they are forum members or not, but thank you very much whoever you were.

2) A forum member is sending (trying to, bad FedEx, bad ) me a spare fridge removed from his AS as my first replacement caught yellow fever. Thank you for all your help (and patience with that FailedExtremely)

I will never forget Norbert, who on a cold day last winter drove up from Chicago to help me find out where my wiring mistake was in my dashboard makeover. Thanks again Norbert.

Ditto - I was on the receiving end of some of those parts. Thanks Roger.

Send a message via Skype™ to Zeppelinium
and thanks to all who took the parts--saved me the anguish of putting them in the landfill or filling up the nooks and crannies of my shop!

Stand by for more parts when I get to the front end of the Sovereign!

One thing I discovered is that if you are a routine/frequent shipper with FedEx frieght, you can become a "favored customer" and the shipping discounts are terrific, like $60 versus $250. We need to establish the Vintage Airstream Parts, LLC (VAP, LLLC) with a shipping number so we can get our stuff to each other for reasonable cost.

Ideas on how to ensure the "shipper" pays the bill, in such a virtual company?

------

well, blow me down, a simultaneous post on this subject right here (so I'll just drop this edit in place...)

Kudos go to Uwe for his free (plus shipping) baby moon hubcaps.
Also, after Hurricane Charley, a fellow forum member came over from the East coast to help me get the fallen trees cut up, and piled so they could be hauled away.
Several other forum members have supplied free labor for a few of my hare-brained "save the Airstream" projects that I have undertaken. I have lost a couple, but saved more than I have lost because of them and their help.

Kudos to Janet and Gary for their super amazing organization and truck full of stuff that always has what we need for rallies. The grills, gadgets, easy ups, and condiments are always appreciated. I love those guys.

Wally's New Southwestern Unit

Kudos to all the folks who came on board to help us start a new, more dynamic WBCCI Unit in the Southwestern U.S. In less than a week we have prospective charter members from:

Arizona (3)
Colorado (2)
Kansas (1)
New MExico (7)

It's been almost a year...

Time to revive the thread.

Kudos (again ) to Roger (Zeppelinium) for giving away unwanted parts simply for the price of shipping.
