Lost Argosy - moderator help please.

My lovingly restored Minuet has gone missing.

I just noticed the personal info listed under my avatar is gone and when I tried to edit my user info, the drop down message that allows you to specify what model you have, has no Argosys - no model year! Is there some way to add this info back?

Thanks Janet. You prompted me to edit my profile and add a few things back. Argosy and Minuet are notably missing as a choice in the drop down list for type of trailer!

Interim suggestion:

Until the omission is corrected, you could add the info to your signature.

Andy is working on the updated list. Like Rog said, for now I would add it to your sig line.

I don't mind putting a city but the new system after kicking out my info that was in the Avitar box now requires me to put a full address and other personal information I do no wish to provide.

Data base gets hacked by a spammer and then I go junk mail coming to my house and my e-mail. Sorry I won't provide. Guess it stays blank now.

Toaster, the only personal info that will display is your city and state but I do agree that too much personal info is a risky thing in today's wacky world of hackers and spammers.
I DO NOT think we should be required to display our city of residence. A geographical reference such as our state is fine, but more info than that could be risky, especially for those of us who live in small towns.

While it may not display to honest folks this is a widely used forums software. I don't have issue with Andy and the folks on this forum they are not the ones I am concerned with.

I am on three different forums that use this software. One of those forums has already been hacked. The atempt was made to get the compete e-mail data base. Pretty good idea what group was proably involved and it was ELF (earth liberation Front) a US eco terrorist group thats members are responsible for many things including torching several dealership lots full of SUV's, a ski resort and a lot of housing like condos under construction.

I will not provide anything more personal then my e-mail that is a free web bassed one for any forum and a general location like city.

If you're concerned about having the city, or even your address in there, since they are required fields, you could always do like Elwood in The Blues Brothers, and list your address as 1060 W. Addison, Chicago, IL 60613.

Or, if you're feeling particularly ambitious:

1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington D.C. 20500

You have to have it in there. It doesn't have to be accurate.

I agree about having to put your city info in there. Expecially when we talk about being gone on the road quite often!

I did not update my info just because of this.
