Carol,
Maybe someone from the Factory could point you in the right direction, they hid'ed some interesting things in ours....
...seem to remember a Factory hiding place under the slide out cutting board on our 63 Safari..... am I right?

Hi, Robert is right; The factory hid these items in my trailer, under the oven, on and around my furnace, inside of the kitchen cabinet. I found these about four years after my trailer was built.

I am impressed by variation of all your answers, however no one has quite found the right slot. I must stress though that this IS a contest, not just a mere game and the prize is important right now. Come on you guys, dig in deeper!
This canyon is filled with mystery and desire..........

I always 'hide' my wedding ring in plain sight - on the center spindle of a lamp's lampshade - right on top - it looks like part of the spindle...first time I used that spot, I didn't 'find' it again for a couple of weeks!

There are lots of cubby holes and hidden places in some Airstreams. Ours has the door without a handle to get to the water pump, for example. Under the fridge is a small compartment, but the divider behind it can be lifted to (sort of) access pipes. Under the bedroom wardrobe and drawers, there's a door to a small space, but you could reach in behind it towards the water heater and drop something in there that would be very difficult to retrieve. Lots of little spaces when you lift up the bed.
But Carol has a different trailer.
Perhaps I am looking at this too literally.

Guess it depends on what it is, but here's a few more spots to look
- on top of the fridge
- under the stove top
- on top of the stove top vent
- in the oven
- between the folds of a towel, sheet, tablecloth, apron
- under a mattress, cushion, pillow
- between the mattress & mattress pad
- between the foam & upholstery of a chair/gaucho/dinette
- rolled between the sheets of TP
- in a aluminum foil/saran wrap box
- isn't there a hidden TP compartment in a '66? Behind the toilet or beside it?
- up inside the plumbing surround in the bath
- behind a picture or mirror
- in a fake beer/soda or cleaning supply "can"
- in a fake "rock"
- in/under a flower arrangement
- in a glove
- in the headband of a hat
- in a shoe, boot, slipper
- in a rolled pair of socks
- in a thermos jug or ice chest
- in a coffee/tea, sugar/flour or spice rack canister
- in/under the utensil tray
- in a deck of cards or game box
- in the battery compartment of a radio
- in the folds of a map
- in the pages of a book
Good luck!

More clues....
Something keeps telling me it is where money would go
It would never be put in anything I would throw away
It would be somewhere I would be likely to run into it soon,
I remember almost putting it in a cookbook but thought,
"What if I don't cook out of this for years or I give it away?"
Wish I had left it there, I can still remember that place........
Damn,
C
(So far that has proven wrong, but since the coma, my habits have peculiarly changed)
It only took me a couple of minutes to accomplish....
I know it is is my brain somewhere unless the doctor let it leak out of my neck onto the OR floor by accident. Maybe it burned up in the fire right before the coma....

I know when I see the answer, it will suddenly pop in my head.
Then we BOTH WIN!
Along with some of you others who have entertained me immensely during my recuperation. I have started to wonder about some of your occupations or past very secretive lives? Some of you should be authors if you are not already and the Peterman one nearly made me fall out of my chair.....
Keep going.....

I bet you have a pretty good First Aid kit. Did you stash it there?
Or maybe the other side of your brain put it in the paint box?
I'm vying for that prize if it's some of your art work!

Look in the refrigerator. I lost my purse after a shopping trip one time, and that's where I found it later.
And a friend who wore a bracelet with a magnetic clasp, lost it once while she was at home. When she finally found it weeks later, it was attached to the inside of the freezer, where it had popped off and fastened itself when she reached in there for something.

Is it in the little wood cubby shelf above your pillow by the light in the bedroom area?

Rolled up in a pill bottle with the label still on and stashed in (mostly) plain view? Likewise, in the coffee can, under the coffee? Folded amongst the tea bags inside the box? Wrapped around the batteries in your flashlight? I once hid a ring in the little bulb safe on the endcap of a Magna light as a proposal ... and then had her change the bulb in the flashlight.
