Looking for somewhere to park our coach for 2 months in the Los Angeles area!! HELP!!

Hi everyone,

Long time no type! The wife and I have been on the road. We drove 8,000 miles on our honeymoon. From San Francisco to Vegas to Aspen, CO to Minneapolis to Billings MT to Vancouver BC and then down the coast again to southern CA where we are now looking for a home.

We are amazed to find very few RV parks in the central or west side LA region that can take a 40 foot coach.

We have been staying at Malibu RV park which is BEAUTIFUL but has management from hell. Easily the rudest bunch of employees we have ever had to put up with. What they need is some local competition, but there is NO other RV park for maybe 40 miles. ARRGGH! So we have put up with them for the past 4 weeks. It is also a long drive for us to get to downtown where my wife has her art studio.

We are wondering if anyone on these forums has some land or a long drive that we could park our coach on and plug into the power if possible for 2 months. We will be happy to pay 500 bucks a months or more for a convenient spot. Ideal locations would be anywhere within 20 minutes of downtown LA.

Very best wishes

Will and Naomi Henshall

Will, you can also check the WBCCI directory for courtesy parking in the LA area. I wish I had room on my property for your trailer but I don't. Also, you wouldn't like the commute to LA from there.
Good luck

Hey William, sounds like you are doing the same thing we are, check our site We too are looking for a place to park in LA for two to three months, best we've found so far is the Valencia Travel Vilage. It's out near Magic Mountain, about 45 miles from downtown. We couldn't find anything closer in that wasn't a "trailer park ". I had similar experience with the Malibu folks when we called to inquire, I guess thats what you get with the only game in town. Best of luck, let me know if you find anything better, I'll do the same.

What's with this? A 45 mile commute is nuts!

I am sure you can find a spot closer than that! I remember Mel Gibson had his parked right on the beach, yeah, Mel Gibson, think it was the first "Lethal Weapon" movie? Also, didn't Jim Rockford have his trailer right down by the marina somewhere, also close to downtown, "Downtown Brown" as well, remember him?

County Parks

Hi William,
Considered County Parks??
We have a few in Orange County, but you'll have to move every 10 days or so.
Check the websites for the counties surrounding LA and see what comes up.
PM me if you needmore info.
