Look what I made and almost made

I thought I would try and make the old style brass Airstream plaque, I wanted one for my Airstream and thought maybe I could sell a few. Someone on ebay gave me the overall dimensions of the logo and I used that and what pictures I could find to reproduce the logo from the early Airstreams.
The bronze plaque didn't quite turn out, I need to get the heat up on the bronze before I pour.
I did this in aluminum also which I happen to like better than the bronze, also did one for my friends bus with his name.
What do ya think?

Or Minno in aluminum? Thinking of putting on the screen door if its light enough.

That does look really cool!

Did you cut the aluminum or use a mold? I would think water cutting the aluminum would be very effective.

I am trying to get this a close to the original 1940's emblem as possible so I made a pattern and sand casted this. I wanted one of these for my Airstream and thought if I am going through the trouble I should make more and sell them. After starting this project I thought I'll make individual letters and I can cast any name I want and maybe people will want them.
Right now it takes me 4 or 5 hours to make one because I am still trying to figure out my furnace.
My initial thoughts are $125.00 for a bronze plaque any name and $65.00 for an Aluminum plaque any name, over 10 letters and the price would go up.
Don't hold me to that, I'm just guessing.

Attached are pictures of the pattern and one of a failed attempt and making one in bronze.

If your interested PM me and let me know what you would like I still need to practice and could make some on the cheap.

Regards,

Your first attempts are beautiful but I'm thinking that prickly Norse god, Thor, might bring his magical hammer down on retailing without a cut of the action.
