Little Talbot State Park,Florida

Well I just remembered about the pics I had when I went to visit a friend in Jaxsonville.I camped out at Little Talbot State Park and when I had just finished setting up camp.another airstreamer was parking beside me.I did not really get to talk to them but did say hi.They were gone everyday all day. Then again I was to.Well just to let you know there were a lot of spiders out there. One was hanging out above the Airstream and never moved once for the 2 nights I stayed there.Still kinda gave me the chills though.I figure they were probably around 4 inches or more in size.
The campsite is ok but a lot of animals live there. There are no lights whatsoever so you have to have a flashlight and everytime I left the park I have to open the gate and close the gate manually. It doesnt really bother me to do this but after doing it several times in one day it got kinda boring. When logging on to reserve the spot you want it says that it is gravel.Well it is all dirt. The kind that is very dusty and sticks to everything in site.
Overall it is a nice park but I would rather go to Henderson or Anastasia,Topsail,Etc,etc, etc.I am just not into the woodsy thing anymore like I used to be when I was little.
Here are some pics though with the other Airstream.Afew of these are of mine also.

Hi,

Nice pics. Spiders, huh? Where is this park? My geography of Florida is pretty thin.... I can probably find Miami on a map...

Spiders

They are Banana spiders. They really dont do anything but hang out and eat but man are those things big and they are everywhere. When I was at mayport poles to check the surf I ran into one of there webs and let me tell you it felt like I got caught up up in someones sewing kit.I never felt web that strong before. It was just like threading and it never broke. The webs they made were even as big as the roof of my vehicle.Pretty wild to see something like that for the first time. Then again...I have never really done any camping during the summer.Only the winter when there are no bugs.
Little Talbot Island Is on the east side of Jaxsonville. It is really easy to get there. Also you will pass Hougonot city park when going there. It only costs .50 to get in and they also have camping there but it has no water or electric on there sites.
And the cool one to go to is The Kathry Abbey Hann Park. They have all kinds of stuff with full hookup and such for $18.00 a night. This park is in a different direction because you take the ferry to get across the river to get there. From what I am told though,There is another route without the ferry. All these parks are close to the ocean and a walk away.I toured these areas but mostly because these are surf spots so the next time I go I will be hitting Hanna park.
