Dad brought a rose to my house this morning and I took some pictures of it. He commented this was the last rose of summer. You see, mom really enjoyed roses; it was her most favorite flower. She passed away this past March and these things have become somewhat sentimental to us when we see them. I took this particular picture at dad’s house this evening after it opened up more.

On a different note, an odd thing happened the day before her funeral. She also liked doves and she had some small ones painted on her car. There were also doves that we would see on occasions near their house. As you know a dove is a symbol of peace. On this particular day the doves were more noticeable around their house. They would land on the porch rail and walk back and forth on the rail as though they were trying to see inside the house. One even tried to fly through the front window. Another landed on the back porch roof and was looking right into the kitchen. We have never seen anything quite like this before or since.

We really miss her and we will miss those camping trips we often took together. I’m glad that I was able to enjoy what time we had together as a family!

We from over the pond send out hearts out 2 U and Yr Family at this sad time in Yr life....
If it helps a little, when we lost our canine member of the Family, we had him go to NOAH'S ARK ( that's where all the good dogs go )...I made a little plaque to mark his favourite place in his garden, a few years ago, I had to open up the side of our garden to get the two cars off the street, (a bend, theft, vandalism)...so lost BEN'S spot, but left a strip, enough for his memorial plaque...doing this I came across a little rose tree, burried in the weeds, so I planted it next to his plaque...an the strangest thing happened b4 I turned 2 walk away, I could SMELL him...he was a generously windy Dog, that would give a SKUNK a contest anyday...

, I guess it was " THANK U POPS "!!!.
Sadly it has gone to sleep 4the winter now, as it right across the yard from our rear door, we c it every time we exit our house,
I kn one can NEVER replace a lost loved one, but after 2-3 years something was missing from our home, so " Her who HAS 2b obeyed " got a labrador...he knew instantly that "BEN" was still around, and I guess he taught him a thing or three...as TOBY does the same things as BEN used 2do, 2 get his own way...so they BOTH are happy little pups...Chris.....
