Come on ... what are ya' waiting for... join us now! What a better day to say Airstream is "All American?"

15% Discount at the Airstream Store

I would be sticking my neck out promising too much with this offer, but what the heck. I certainly know I've saved that much and more in the 3+ years I've been reading here. Your research on repairs and new models will be so much more productive if you join -- and get to ask questions too!!

The first answer: No, Grumman never had anything to do with Airstreams. But I have thought of using taking the old canoe under the deck to a polishing rally.

I usually surf the forum, and then sign in if I want to make a comment, like now.
Maybe there are lots of me's out there??
That might explain the large number of lookers..... maybe?
regards

Herrgirdner, if you've joined then you'd be recognized as a member without having to log on.... Look up in the top right corner of your monitor and you'll see the welcome box.
From the portal page take a look at the bottom of the page for a count of members vs. guests online at any given time. We're a minority here on any given day, but the guests can't post.

Most forum sites have more lurkers than signed in members. Don't feel alone. Some people do not like cookies on their computer (in fear of catching something) and so they can not use the auto sign in feature. Some people are "takers" with nothing they are willing to offer. Does anybody make more money off this site if we have more "members"??

In a sideways fashion. Some advertisers are willing to pay more if there are more members to a website/forum. I am not 100% sure that is the case here on our forum, and I am not sure if the advertisers look at registered users, or just total users.

Well in fact folks the intent of my original post was to see if we could be of more help to those lurking. If you want full access to all the forum features you've got to register.
I don't have a commercial bone in my AS body regarding the forums just trying to be of help to those with questions....

Talking this post....

i have seen several maybe a dozen or so new members since this post..... seems to have got some attention....

the advice...knowledge...friendliness...did i mention all the information....

maybe we need to get the (GECKO) from Geico to get all the visitors to join....

ask questions...jump into posts...chat rooms...pictures...everything you need when it is raining out and you miss your airstream....

Y'know? Internet Explorer may default to using cookies without asking -- at least I automatically log on here when I use IE (rare). I use Firefox now and it isn't configured to log me on -- I do that manually. Is this a case of, "We met the lurkers and they is us?"
