Jack stability?

I have our 16 in the driveway, which sits on about a 5% grade. Unhitched, I have plastic (ok, somethings gotta be made of plastic!) chocks on both wheels, and the 2 inch tube from the jack extends into the circular foot. BUT, it only penetrates a few inches before hitting a crimp. When people are in the trailer, it seems a lot of torque is placed on the jack (pipe?) and that it could break, or the whole thing slide. There is a very slight angle now between the foot and the pipe. I have looked for a more skookum foot for the thing but no one here seems to know. Is this a potential problem?

I have an extra plate that is to big for mine, if you will measure the out side diameter of you jack leg, if it will fit, it's yours. Simper Fi.
