Talking It's Official - - We Are Airstream Owners, Yeh!!!

Hi Everyone,

First off I would like to say thank you to everyone who has answered my questions these last two weeks Without your advice, comments, and yes, levity at times, I wouldn't be posting this!

We are now official Airstream owners! We went down this afternoon and checked over all the systems and gave the outside a thorough going over!

We now own a 25' 1978 Tradewind Land Yacht International, Yeh

All systems checked out, skin in good shape other than typcial small "dings" and plasticoat peeling in spots. Needs tires and updated LP tanks, but all in all, it was a wonderful purchase!

The really neat thing is the owner had the 1978 Airstream Owners manual and also all manuals for appliances, etc... Also the 1975 booklet titled "A story of Airstream" with some pretty cool pics of 1975 decor It has the original brown shag carpet and AM/FM stereo with 8-track (anybody have any 8-tracks we can borrow?).

Once we get a digital camera, we'll post pics! Again, thanks everyone for answering all our newbie AS questions!

Owning an Airstream

We took our Safari in to get an estimate due to a friend helping us and putting a rather large dent in our front side. My husband and I were so sick about it we were speechless and then argued. Ugh!! The Renovator perked us up with these words "better a used Airstream than anything new on the road!!!"

tin,

Great to have another 70's freak here on the forum! I would love to have the original 8-track in my Overlander, someone took it out and put in a Alpine cassette deck, yuck!! I have a bunch of 8-tracks I would love to hear which will sort of fit the 70' s era, Black Sabbath, Robin Trower, maybe not the typical 70's a/S user though.
