It's just too HOT!!!!

My GOSH, Who camps in this weather? Well in Texas anyway. 103 degrees here during the day and not below 80 at night....Too hot to go outside in the evenings. Too hot to get a fire going, it's nuts. I'd rather stay at home. I miss my Airstream and taking her out, but since I'm not retired weekend warriors is what we are but I can't get north far enough in the amount of time alloted to get somewhere cool. The Spring was awesome, every weekend. The first part of the summer was ok because of our Keys Vacation NEXT to the WATER!!! But DANG!!!!

I have her plugged up in the driveway with the a/c set on 99.

I CAN"T wait till the FALL!!!!!!

Just say'n.

Howdy Shane. Why not get out of the HOT Metroplex and head over to the Piney Woods of East Texas, camp out under the tall pines with the AC on for comfy sleeping. Dive into a big ole East Texas lake during the day or ride on the air conditioned vintage railroad down by Palestine. It'll be a good weekend trip for ya'll and won't be as hot as Arlington. Now git on out there with that new rig and have some fun.

One hundred and three degrees!!! Wow! Here on the Redwood Coast the sun is yet to burn off the marine layer and the thermometer is stuck at 58. We too need to wait for the Fall for things to cool down as we are such heat wimps. Now when I lived on the Mojave Desert (in the dry heat) a trip anywhere was never hotter and usually cooler. Here's hoping it cools down a bit for you. Jamie

3 or 4 days last week heat warnings were issued here, averaging 114. The only time I even get close to the MH is to fill the 5 gal. water bucket kept inside as it absorbs about 2" daily. 103 is welcome around here this time of year. Enjoy.

106 in the shade here, right now. At least you are camping I'm still renovating. Had to quit because I put some caulk remover on some silicone caulk I'm trying to remove and it instantly evaporated. Then tried to remove some with a plastic scraper and I'm sure you guessed what happened...it melted. Yep it's hot.

Current temp in Portland, OR 67 degrees. Delightful, will be 83 tomorrow according to the forecasters (who are usually wrong).

Come on up to Canada!

Temp right now on my front porch, 70 degrees 10 PM Friday July 23. During the day, sunny and in the 80s. If that is too warm go up to Algonquin Park and camp among the lakes and pine trees.

I have an air conditioner in my bedroom but have only used it about 5 nights this summer. I live 1/2 mile from Lake Ontario.

In fact this has been an unusually warm summer but still quite comfortable compared to what you describe.

I know it is too far for a weekend trip but maybe on your summer vacation?

Well, so much for the theory of global cooling, at least until there's a record low temperature set somewhere.

We are averaging 99 per day and 75 at night...I have been working on this (sort of big) restoration mural. So to beat the heat I decided to go there at night and do the paint work...well....there are hornets-blister beatles whoops! -beetles (sorry Paul)...and thousands of mosquitoes and numerous other bugs. Humidity to boot.UGH! I will be glad to get out of this area and into the more favored parts of the country.

Best weather, or lack of, in the country.

Hi, you people get to have all the fun. It never gets cold here, so no winterizing. And it seldom gets very hot here either. Soooo Boring, but I'm not going to complain. This gives us good reason to go to places like South Dakota in October Etc.
