Thumbs up interesting daily travel report

Although not Airstream related, many people enjoy following the daily adventures of George and his "team"
Lots of nice pics.

Exclamation

His trip started a year ago, don't judge by the few last days, go to his archives (on the right of his daily post) & also learn about the man....then voice off if you want.

Tioga @ George

Hi, qqq
I just wanted to say thanks for posting about the Vagabonders Supreme site. It,s done from an offbeat perspective, and is a little corny, but I like it. The photos do inpire a bit of envy sometimes.
I will continue to pop in to see how things are going.
Thanks again,
Bob

I think it's cute, and he looks like he's having more fun than I am right now (at work). I think I'll check up on George again later. Thanks!

This is a great site, very corny and amusing at the end but full of wisdom and planning in the beginning. I intend to read the whole thing. Here is a man living the life I am still only dreaming about, and doing it well to boot.

Let’s keep in mind that he’s currently in Mexico. Mr. Tequila may be playing a part in his ramblings.

I, briefly, read through some of his journal. What he is doing is very interesting and I'd like to read more on his "solar" hook up allowing him to be completely self contained.

The writing in a third party wears on you a little, but as has been said, this guy is experiencing an opportunity that most of us dream of. Just pack up, hit the road, leave the problems and worries behind. Of course, you deal with the new one's as they come.

I wonder what made him choose that particular RV, versus a trailer that would allow a little more living space, since he is living in it. I would think a 22 - 25 Ft Safari would be perfect for one person doing this. You could also save a little on gas by unhitching and doing your day trips without towing the extra weight every where you went.

Well I have been reading more of Mr. Georges tales, and dreaming up my own. I think all the time alone on the road has maybe been playing some tricks with his mind. He does seem to get weirder as time goes on, but ain't it worth it. Judging from the amount of work he has to put into repairing and resealing Mrs. Tioga, I think Mr. George would have done well with an introduction to Mr. Airstream.

Pahaska,

Cruel words...(understatement) I hope George doesn't get to read them.

Why couldn't you set a trailer up for the same purpose?

NDS,

A trailer would be unsuitable,
Because if you read all his posts (on the right of daily pages) you will see that he needs to be discreet, almost invisible....to be able to park in side alleys or in towns & not be aked to move.
Try staying on Coronado (St Diego) with a trailer

LOL!

qqq,
I see what you're talking about. If he's going to stick around town, I can see that. I was thinking more of when he's out in the wild. But, don't you think this outfit is going to draw some attention? If I see an RV parked out behind a building, with lights on inside and a satellite dish on the roof...

Does he have his own Mr. Cameraman, or does he just grab a passerby and ask them to take the pictures?

I'd like to have the DirecWay dish on my rig.

Pick,
If he is lucky he has a Mr. Tripod with him, and Mr. Mavica or was it Miss? has a timer. LOL The combinations are mind boggling, What would happen if Ms, Miss and Mr. got together for a wild margarita party one night. I didn't notice are there any Mrs. along to chaperone? Holy Cow Batman, I just went back and read some of it, apparently the only female in the bunch is Ms. Tioga. Wouldn't a psycologist/psychiartrist have fun with this one!
