Hmmm "How's that working for you? Why haven't you tried something different?" That is a great thought to get centered. Glad I happened upon this thread.
Having the feature to read newest first can sometimes be confusing especially in an older thread but Paula's post was very interesting.
I would say keeping a blog takes dedication and courage.
After reading back far enough I found out this is about George and Tioagga. I followed along for a time from a link from the digital rv site some time ago. In fact something that I had read on his blog was an idea I just mentioned to my husband a day or so ago coincidently. It was a picture of an Airstream along a shore that made me remember it.
We always seem to concentrate on the destination or where we will be stopping the evening or staying the the duration of our time out but I read on George's blog an entirely different way to travel.
Instead on concentrating on where he would be sleeping at day's end, he chose his day stops along the way. Spent his time pulled over and meandering around a beautiful location he was passing, having a meal. He wasn't in a campgrounds, he saw a great place and he stopped, he had arrived. The beauty of our Airstreams is that we can do just that. Distance and where he slept the night was secondary to his experience. What does it matter where you are when you are parked and asleep, any old place will do. Albeit I don't know if I have that adventurous a spirit to scope out just any spot I'd fit for the night and if I got roused by the law excuse my self and take off but actually thinking back I've been told to move on before, no big deal, except the knock on the door that would probably freak me out in the dark. Definite motorhome advantage there. Being able to be truly self-contained and powered makes a big difference. Pretty cool.
You go George. I wish you well. You have a better idea and are more purposeful, deliberate and introspect than most. How's that working for George? Sounds like pretty darn well.
Ms Tiogga and the gang put me in mind of Wilson in Tom Hank's Castaway. Fess up, have you
ever talked out loud when you're alone? I know, that's what pets are for!
