some of my favorite features of the Salon Liner are the long sconce lights spanning above the side windows. the wardrobe doors that latch together to form a private bed room and the 'Salon' Living Room sofas that would slide together to make a King size bed. i think they should have called this the Honey Moon Liner!

That is SOOOOOO cool! I am jealous. I love that floor plan and especially the fact that you got a shower in the bathroom that my 22' Safari does not have, and it isn't even a "wet bath" and it has a side window in addition to the front window. The interior is amazingly there. Some may be reusable and the rest should at least be good as templates if you want to retain the original layout (or something close to it) and need to remake anything.
CONGRATS!!!
P.S. I am glad my concern that the trailer might have been converted to a concession trailer did not turn out to be true. What was draped over the street side windows in the original Craigslist photos?

thank you. yeah, most of the wood will be templates only. i'm really diggin the layout too and wouldnt change a thing if everything gets rebuilt. Especially keep it original since its, so far, the 2nd one to come forth in existence as a 1954 Salon Liner. The crazy thing on the side that looked like a concession stand cut out door was actually a 50's style aluminum awning folded down. it ran the length of the side windows and one smaller one for the front. we removed them for the road but i took them with since they were in pretty good shape, being all aluminum, and something i've never seen before. the trailer was just down the road from Julian, CA and Pinecrest. Pinecrest - The Private Retreat for Vintage Travel Trailers so it may have lived at one of these high desert resorts for a long time hence the custom awning for shade in a semi permanent spot. the previous owner said he bought if from a friend down the road 15 years ago, sat on his property since then and got no other history. Lance was a pleasure to work with. There are some characters out in the high desert and Lance and his friend Alberto were the best possible folks to work with. they helped me get it road ready, which between the 3 of us took 3 hours. Thank you Lance, and what a pleasant and beautiful surprise the area was to discover.

That is one large water heater for an Airstream, guess the family would never run out of hot water.

1973 Argosy - $4100 OBO
1973 argosy 20 ft Camper
Now this is a Classic !
On my summer trip last Year to Oshkosh I had so many people ask to see the Argosy I lost count. Everyone just loved this little camper. Everyone can appreciate a work of Beauty !
If you don’t want to be asked a hundred questions when you camp…… stop looking now !
When I first purchased this little camper it needed a little Luv. I had it painted, so now it looks New. I installed 2 new Correct Load rated tires. ( Less than 2000 miles on them ) Installed new lamps in all of the running lights so they all work. Repaired the water system ( had a few leaks ); now the hot and cold work great. The Hot water heater makes lots of hot water ! The Argosy is equipped with a forced air furnace and a wall mounted heater. I have never tried the forced air, but I know for sure the wall mounted heater works great. The refrigerator works off of electric…. Not sure about the gas side…. I have never tried it. Both the Oven and Stove work great. Has Air Conditioning that Makes Ice Cold Air !. The interior lighting is 12 volt. And all of the lights work just fine. It is set up to sleep 4, but you better like your bed buddy. Both the Sofa and the Table make a Bed. The beds are about the size of a small twin. Standard Twin Sheets fit well. This is a nice little camper that is fun to camp with. And it is small enough that you don’t need a monster truck to pull it with. Rember it was designed to be pulled behind the family station wagon !
It needs 2 things, the trailer brakes need wired, and it needs the dump valve replaced for the holding tank.
Come and take a look at it… you will fall in love with it.
I am not interested in any trades.

Not Craigslist... weird place to try and sell an Airstream
This "1950's Airstream Travel Trailer Office or Cabin" is listed on Etsy, a marketplace for artists handmade/handcrafted or vintage items (20+years old.) It falls in the vintage catagory, but a weird avenue to try and sell it. He's asking $3500, there are a few more photos, none of the interior, and there's very little glass left in the windows.

There's only minimal info posted, with 1 pic but what the photo shows looks straight at least. someone got tired of a renovation project.

Square Airstream?
32' Airstream Travel Trailer
Thought this was kinda different. I only been into Airstreams for about a year now but I havent run across one that was square looking before. Was this a special order in its time?

This was not a special order. This is how they were made during this time. They were lovingly called SquareStreams and there are a number of forum members with one.

They also made the same thing under the Argosy name...they were painted. We affectionately call those Squargosys. I think there may have been a fiberglass version too...
