1997 Airstream 34' Norman Rockwell Limited Edition Travel Trailer - $22700 (Delaware, Ohio)

This is the hard to find limited edition Norman Rockwell American Legend Airstream wide body with a GVWR of 9800 lbs. Only 48 produced in 1997 by Airstream - 1 for each continental state.
There's only 47 of these left, as I saw one at Colaws wrecking yard that was crushed by a very big tree.

I wish I had room for this one, it's more of a project than I can handle at this point . . . there are no photos in the ad but he'll email them.

Actually that trailer would be a California built 1957 or 1958 Airstream that has been painted a special non-original green color. It is not unusual for the listing to state an incorrect year. It does look like a trailer that is worth saving and seems to be priced reasonably assuming the interior is fairly intact.

I'd suggest it is an Ohio built '58 or '59 because of the type of wheel wells, windows, and appliances it has.

It is only a few hours away and I wanted to call and then go take a look, but at three Airstreams, I am already one over the limit, so I did not.

Joe it is in Coloma CA. That is where it California gold rush started You are just a few hours away I think the trailer is a 56/57 with the new 7 panels. The front window sure fits the time line. Just guessing about the trailer, I know for sure about Coloma CA. History. Wally

I love the Spartan Mansions with the birch interior. I'm not sure how well they travel, though. This trailer is really cheap, although I'm not sure if it is a Spartan. I had these pictures emailed to me. She said she lived in the trailer for the last year & the pix were taken while in the process of moving. A bit too much for me to chew & travel to see.

I said a few hours from home because it was listed on the Grand Rapids, Michigan Craigslist page and it is painted with the Michigan State Spartan block "S" on it. And the phone number in the ad is consistent with Grand Rapids Michigan. If it really is in California, it must be a scam.

They did not start making 7-panel Airstreams until mid '57, so it can't be a '56.

It's not a Spartan either. I looked at the Atlas Mobile Home Museum site and there were several that were similar but none exactly like this:

Maybe it's the make that Clinton Twiss had when he wrote the book (that became the movie) "The Long Long Trailer".

Those doors loook mighty familiar, although the rest of the shape isn't the same...
