I'm pretty sure they are different trailers. The one in Texas doesn't appear to have an awning rail, but does have a "vista view" sort of upper window above the window that's forward of the entry door.

not an Airstream, but wow!

Fun vintage trailer on the St. Louis craigslist. LONG! Ad says it's a 1954 Kit.

Wut? Could there be a shred of truth to this?

Cause Im not seeing it- Looks like an old ice cream truck chevy step van

I have this old... I mean "vintage" Airstream built "A" van that's been sitting in my yard for 25+ years. It is similar to a Grumman Step-Van, but it has the sliding side doors in front and the bread truck-style rear doors to allow you full access to the glorious contents. I have been using it only for storage, it does not run but possibly could, I think it got water in the crankcase when I drove it to the storage yard. It has a 400 Pontiac engine and automatic transmission I dropped in after salvaging that from an old station wagon. I think you would have to re-power it if you need it on the road. The body was built by Airstream (yes, that Airstream-the ones who make the travel trailers). I wish it still had the original six cylinder engine with the three-speed manual gearbox.

You nailed it. He emailed me it's got an Airstream badge and is an A Van model.

Airstream started looking for possible fits for its' manufacturing facility after the energy crisis in 1973. We built about 520 vans for the Post Office. And also for several years built bread trucks and vans for other commercial applications and used a GM chassis. We also assembled UPS trucks for a while.*

LOL - very funny Robin... I think you could fit all your trailers IN this one. Then the glow would be coming from within.

For Sale: 1974 22 ft ; $3500 on Craigslist

Someone has listed an unpainted Argosy trailer on the Portland, Oregon Craigslist.

Don't know if it's legit. One picture, some verbage & phone number with the listing.

Just thought I would pass it along.

My favorite... Stainless Steel Airstream!

This one has been on CL in Tampa for a while. The price keeps going down. No interior pictures. Hysterical information.

Unique oppurtunity to own a inexpensive classic Airstream or an excellent money making oppurtunity. Shell is solid and stainless steel is not pitted or corroded. Good tires and chassis. Exterior is in great shape and not missing any parts. I dont have the time to restore and need the room. Exterior stainless comes back to look brand new and every window is intact. Spend 2 weeks and a couple thousand restoring and sell for $10-$15k. Let my loss be your gain and come steal the least expensive Airstream on the market. I need the extra room immediatly and need gone by this weekend so I am motivated to sell. Private Seller , Call 813-xxx-xxxx

It is offered at $2000 right now. Great shell... except for all the dents. 2 weeks and couple of thousand restoring it, and make a HUGE profit!

Priceless.
